one more question guys....I would be using this phone with vodafone Mumbai ....will I face any network problem with it ,since i have taken it unofficially unlocked....will I get updates from htc India.....

guys I stay in Mumbai and I have got the Htc desire this Friday,
I would like to know few things from people around in this forum
1. I have got it unofficially from a store in Mumbai its a unlocked piece and I would like to know if I can update it to the new android 2.2 froyo update(whenever it is available to the desire),since mine is a 2.1 version eclair
2. When is the froyo update available for desire
3.i would like to know that can I use this mobile to view my office files like word excel,powerpoint and PDF files
4. Can I register it to htc officially
5. Will the unlock phone create a problem in the near future since its not and official purchase
6. Where do I save my office files like word excel and ppt and how do I view it if I want to see them
7. I have heard from so Many users that the camera is not capable of taking good quality video ....is it that the froyo update will Dix that problem or it will be the same as it is
8. I want to know that is the sound quality good enough I.e better than the hd2
9.what is the battery life of this phone ...can I get a spare battery in Mumbai if need to buy one...
10. Lastly I would like to know where can I get good cover for the phone since rainy season is coming too soon in Mumbai ...so I don't wanna loose my phone....
11 I m tottaly confused that should I exchange it for the nexus one or should I stick to the desire

I bought the desire about 6 weeks ago and have waited to post a comment until im sure. And i have to say, if your looking for a phone to do everything you want and more! Buy the desire, without doubt. Fantastic phone! Super fast everything, from inet 2 apps and just in general, the limits are endless to this phone. 9.5/10, iphone! lol :) no thanks

This model does not have smile detection. I use the Desire and it doesn't have it. It's a cool feature though, I'd like to see it in the near future... and 720p video recording and playback, of course... MKV would be great, of course!:D

Almighty piece but Nokia N8 beats it pants down on 3G modem speeds connectivity, camera MPGPXLS + sec, memory, processor,price etc. I think it beat all HTC!
