[deleted post]lol i don't even own an HTC phone and i have never owned one so before you say anything please get your facts right first or it makes you look really bad. i am using SE fyi. i just do not think which phone is more superior than others, just which phone can meets your demands. simple logic simple facts i did not even slam any other phones. it's ppl who come here to slam HTC for the sake of slamming.

desire is a very good phone but people wants to know about every part of the phone that they want to buy
some people come here and say:SE let everyone down with lack of multitouch
so they should know that there is not a perfect phone in the world
overal desire is one the best phones in my opinion

OpenMinded, 01 May 2010Lyon ... people should be free to express their opinion or ... morei agree. but stop using phrases like "who wants a 5mp camera with 15 fps video and very short battery life in such an expensive phone?" to try and make desire looks bad. it is not a perfect phone, but this forum is for ppl to ask questions about the phone and troubleshoot. not to slam the phone.

m thinking of bu... moreTo my knowledge the multi touch input method is when you can use to fingers to nevigate on the screen instead of the standard on (like the iPhone/ iPod Touch). This means you can do stuff like when your in the home screen, anyone of the 7, you can 'pinch' your fingers together and BAM, you now have the 7 screens displayed in one so you can then choose which you would like to go to.
As for the finger swipe nevigation, just means i believe that you use your finger to nevigate instead of buttons... nothing exciting =]

and H... moreHey mate, this isn't a very exspensive handset, it's only $779 in Australia... i dont know about you, but that is pretty darn good for such an awesome handset, i don't own one, but i have used many and sold many.

Hi everyone, I got my HTC Desire and play for 3 days, some of my ideas about the phone ,
pro:
- excellent touchscreen
- awesome display (even under sunlight for me it still readable)
- heap of apps whatever we can think of are on the market n free
- fun to use the phone
- never bored
- touchscreen keyboard are gud enough but need a bit of training as i never hav a full touchscreen phone
- browsing like computer
- contacts link with facebook account and very easy to setup
- HTC Sense awesome
cons:
- after install alot of apps, reboot mobile takes awhile to load before we can use the phone,
- camera is ok but some photos are a bit blur
- hard to locate apps as no folder available,
- battery run out very fast if use wifi alot
- phone get heat up and can feel the heat
- need to support more video format, anyone have any ideas of video player or codec to install on the phone so can play more format??

Love my Desire over the Iphone. Just a couple of things id like to add.
Lots of people complain about the battery, yes i do agree with you guys on here its not the best. 1 tip i found is if you hold down the On/Off button until the menu pops up and turn off mobile internet, ive now got 4 Days of life out of it. (only swith the mobile internet on when you need it. it really does work!!!)
One thing i dont like about video recording is the Microphone. ive found SE and Nokia are miles above with lot of phones in this respect. E.g if you video in a club the SE and Nokia's can cope woth noise where as other phone and HTC cant

AGAIN, we do not deny it does not have good camera and video. READ THIS.
