My phone shows internal memory of 148mb
Whereas this website shows that it have. Mem of 512mb
Can any help me on this??

You'll have to root your phone first and partition the SD card off with a 1-1.5gb EXT4 partition to use some of the scripts though since the on board memory is too small. Sandvold's ICS rom is the best so far. There are a few out there with Sense 4.0 but are in their very early stages.

I have being using the phone for past 1-1/2 years it is a good phone easy to use good features .till today did note any problems some times it is the network which gives problem .thanks for producing a user friendly phone

when you go into the play store you can select or un-select an option which says "automatically update". this should work.

ROY, 02 Jan 2013delete google play, the symbol looks like a jigsaw piece...That is the new Google play services; as Roy suggested, you may delete it as it takes up space (7mb) and as all of us desire users know, internal storage space is precious. I deleted it, but it keeps re-installing whenever I connect to data of any kind.

I have htc desire android version 2.3.3. I couldn't find android market or google play in my cell even after factory reset. Anybody can help?

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2012memory problem can anybody helproot your phone from going to XDA forum, then read the guides on first page of htc desire question and answer section.
If you can't browse there, ask a question there and you will find the links to tutorial "how to root your desire and S- off". After that install a custom rom like oxygen 2.3.2 is the best ROM so far for this device.
Change Hboot to oxygen R2 Hboot.
Partition your SD card into ext3 or ext 4 using 4ext recovery tool.
You will need one month to learn all this shit and when you apply all of this on your phone, you feel like using nexus 4 or S3 .. lol believe me rooting a desire is best thing you can do customize the memory and other issues.

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2012memory problem can anybody helpYou can mpve applications to your SD card/ In my case that wasnt enough. What helped me is turning back to factory defaults. You will lose youre settings and have to reinstall your applications however.
