Den10, 14 Apr 2010Any UK folks know why this has been on sale in Orange store... moreExclusive to stores, at the moment... You're better off going into store anyway, better service and if there's a problem with the phone you can go into store rather than dealing with customer services. Also, ORANGE ARE EXCLUSIVELY GETTING THE DESIRE IN BLACK! So maybe hold on until that?

The call quality from the earpiece speaker is poor, there is a sort of scratching and hissing noise when on a call.Could be some kind of interference.

Andy Marks, 14 Apr 2010I've had this phone for about a week now and i have to say ... moreGo into your normal android messaging app, and tap the menu key. It should come up with "settings" or the like. go into it, and look for a section about notifications. Turn them off, and it SHOULD stop displaying them.

I've had this phone for about a week now and i have to say i'm loving it for the most part. However there are some things that i'm finding very annoying and can't seem to get round.

The first thing i'm struggling with is the signal on the radio tuner it is very poor and seems to break up all the time, i used to use a sony t650i for the radio as my iphone didn't have one and the reception was so much better. Guessing there's not alot that can be done about that.

The main problem i have is with the intergration of third party apps, however this may just be me not setting it up correctly. I have installed a txt message app called handcent, which basically gives the txt message screen the same look as the iphone and also allows me to use mp3's as a message tone. The problem is i can't seem to set it as the only/main txt service, so every time i get a txt i recieve 2 notifications one from the htc txt and one from the 3rd party app. The exact same thing happens with the htc email service and the gmail app.

I know it's quite a small issue but it's becoming very annoying. If anyone could help me out with this it would be appreciated.

Also does anyone know if it is poss to delete some of the pre-installed apps i.e. teeter?

Any help would be great, cheers.

wondering 1-) if the screen surface is scratch-resistant, and 2-) if it is possible to see data usage log per selected source separately (wi-fi and 3G)..
