Anonymous, 25 Mar 2010Guess After Samsung I9000 Galaxy S then make HTC Desire not... moreThe Sense UI is what makes HTC phones so great and compliments the Android OS very well. I don't think the i9000 is better, though it is still a very good phone

Plus the after-sales support i.e. software updates is far better from HTC than Samsung

Guess After Samsung I9000 Galaxy S then make HTC Desire not as good looking as it was before.

The Samsung I9000 Galaxy S is by far better. I owen HTC Nexus One very Happy but Galaxy S would be a good replacement.

brynn, 22 Mar 2010It will be outmoded in 6 months yet your signing up for 2 y... moreI strongly disagree with that, two years is short enough for most. I have *never* switched phones within a 2 years duration, ever. And I don't expect to with this HTC Desire either. I've been using mobiles ever since 1996. Desire supported Apps (and batteries) will be here for a looooong time, Android is open-source, HTC Sense will be hacked open in no time as well, I don't see much danger in having to use this multi-functional device for the coming 3 or 4 years even. Ask me again in 2013, I'll probably still be using my HTC Desire.

Anonymous, 25 Mar 2010HTC is a lot better than samsung. -in service -in class... moreWell, the screens Samsung makes are still alone at their top, that's for sure. Would be better if we could enjoy a merger between Samsung and HTC some day.. Let Samsung make their screens, let Sony create their UI, and let HTC build the rest of it (and the solid hardware like in the Legend).

Why doesn't this have the same battery as the Sony XP10? Obviously this generates 100 minutes more standby time than it currently offers. Weird. It isn't even more lightweight, so what's up with that difference, HTC ?
