I can't quite see why anyone would buy this over and above the better specced Google N1.

Anonymous, 19 Jan 2010Omnia Hd has capacitive touchscreen nt resistiveYou are right, my apologies.

I have played with the phone many a time, never found its screen to be as responsive as Ipod Touch's capacitive touch screen, hence i just assumed it was resistive!

Also, This phone IS Nexus One, only that it wouldn't be supported by Google but HTC instead, this will also have the Sense UI and the capability of recording videos in 720p resolution (just like the Omnia HD)

                which the Nexus one doesn't!

It would be a disaster to make another mistake as with the HD2 with the screen. HD2 had a large screen but pathetic colour display. This one has many more colours but a limited screen size. Please remove the buttons enlarge the screen and i will buy this phone.

Could not they make the controls touch sensitive instead of physical buttons like the nexus one...

Optical trackball is a good idea. Smaller size and the spec are good.

It's the first phone that has the both multi-touch & LED tech display! also the first 16 million of HTC.

boybawang, 05 Jan 2010gsmarena! are you sure the screen is only 3.2? Many sources... moreI agree. When gsmarena firts announced, it was showed some official htc pic with full specs saying it is 3.7 display. Other websites sources are 3.7 as well.
If its not 3.7 and no sense UI, i would rather get the NEXUS. They are so similar, except for the touch sensitive buttons.
