I am using the HTC Desire to type this now! Far better than wildfire s and iPhone 4s. Some lag issues but nowhere near enough to put me off. I paid 170 pounds for this phone with everything, including a protective case. The screen density is more than the sensation xe. And much bigger than the wildfire s. It also has a way faster processor The only annoyance is the internal memory is tiny. But otherwise, incredible phone for the money I paid. Way better than paying 300 pounds for iPhone.

Could anyone tell me where to get the 2.3 official update ? It's gone from htcdev.com page.

I had mine for almost 3 years now but upgraded to One X because i wanted something new. But the Desire is the best phone i ever had it has always been working perfectly and also upgraded it to V2.3GB works great.

I absolutely hate this phone. Its okay for the first several months..but i got a two year contract and i havent even had it a year and i can name a list of problems it has. First my camera stopped working and the camcorder, then the flash was going off randomley. Now the internet works no where but at my house, and i can no longer send or receive pic/vid messages. The phone has also gotten slow and its very aggravating. I'll be getting a different phone soon.

The only thing is that the Wildfire S has a newer version of HTC Sense but I don't think it's worth buying it just for that.

i have got the desire myself and upgraded to 2.3.3
before i done this my battery was fine since the upgrade
my battery needs charging three times a day so got a replacement battery and it is the same story so i would advise not to upgrade

It's a very good phone! if you some problems with your phone, it's maybe cause it came jammed since it left the factory!!!
For update to 2.3 visit the htc developement center on the web.
For watching hd videos you will need a free bs player from the android store. enjoy!

I m using this mobile, i'm satisfied with the mobile, but the only problem with mobile is it's internal memory is 150mb. Please any one help me how to increase my mobile internal memory and how to upgrade my mobile version from 2.2 to Icecream gingerbird.

My white Desire is running on Supernova which is base on 2.3, and gives me 2gig internal memory and overclock to 1.3ghz. Its very stable and smooth. I have also installed Beats audio and Xloud which improves the sound vol and quality. Cheers

Most Desire should be about 2yrs old, so its time to give it a new lease of life. If you have not already custom it it about time.Here's how:
1.Use HTCdev to unlock bootloader(don't worry about s on,You can install custom roms)
2.Install Clockworkmod recovery.
3. Install superuser.
4.You are ready to install custom roms, and increase
your internal memory to 1gig or 2gig.
For all the above knowhow head over to XDA forums and enjoy your reborn Desire, which in my opinion is still the best mid range phone around. Cheers

Continually runs low on memory despite the 8G card that's 99% empty. Can't get rid of some firmware apps that are hogging the room.
