Don't upgrade to GB, it doesn't wroth really. It's right that you will have a slightly faster performance but on the other hand you will face many hangs with your touch screen which cannot be solved unless you remove the battery... I really regret it that I lost my old beast desire 4 months without any single problem. Does Any body know where from can I download an original froyo back... Please help guys.

HTC made a great phone, the HTC Desire.
Looks awsome, great hardware, BUT...
This phone has reached end of life only after 12 months as HTC no longer support upgrades for it.
So all the little bugs and issues I was wating to see imporved will never get fixed.
Waste of my good money.
HTC can build a phone but their software and support for it is a joke.
I will never buy a HTC brand phone again.

GB update: my normal battery life is back, not much of a difference from froyo, i wana say theres a slight improvement on everything but its hardly noticable.. more of a psycholigical effect knowing you have a "new" system.. again, phone memory space has improved considering i've reinstalled my old apps and added more, still w/ more space left.. i havent sorted out how to play EPUB files, i'm still working on it, thats the only feature i miss from froyo, you could download it directly to the sd card and read through Cool Reader or Aldiko app.. my htc desire will be 6months this august21 so fas i'm very very happy with it, gingerbread update was a good move by htc
