For your number 2 question.. well no one knows.. im already sick of waiting, getting my hopes up and down of their news about desire getting gingerbread...the current news tells us that its coming very soon...
Anyways, im lovin froyo so i dont have any complaints (for now)...
Number 3 question... hmmm.. i dont use those earphones that comes in the package. Somethins just not right about its sound quality. Im using my apple/sennheisers when listening to music.
But overall.. its one helluva phone.. light years ahead from his nokia batch mates thats for sure... im still loving it..
In fact im in a relationship with it.. haha..
Enjoy your desire dude..its the best phone for me...
PS.
Take a peak on the things you can do in your phone book.. you can link it to your fb or twitter acct.then au can have all infos of your social network friends in your phone book. its great...

Tips to prolong your battery life...
1.Switch ur Network Mode to "Gsm only". having both wcdma and gsm active eats a lot of battery.
(Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Mode)
2.Turn Off "Background Data" in Accounts & Sync when u dont need it. i personally do this whenever i go out when i aint gonna be able/needing to sync.
3.Use a Stationary Wallpaper.. Live Wallpapers has an apetite for battery.
4.Turn Off Wifi when not in use and dont max out ur display brightness.
**i personally dont use task killers, i believe they dont help much in prolonging battery life. i used to use one and theres no difference.
Because in My opinion and to what iv googled around, what task killers do is kill every single program u have... so the moment u tap on anything even live widgets, it has to start on again from scratch.. killing off and restarting eats more battery.
Android is intelligent enough to manage idle programs. thats why task killers is not always included in the default functions and you wont get them out of the box. cause i believe the HTC guys would be the first to know if they're needed or not. (think of this, previous htc phones ,specifically win mo's, always had a task manager)..

hiee guys .........its a rocking phone i have ever seen in this cheap range ........no doubt on this phone's performance ....with 1Ghz pro.....i have few question about this rocker so pls help me ....
1. As it is posted on specification that its talk time is of 6hr40 min, i hope so its battery life will not be getting exhausted soon .....due to bad battery life in htc phones...can this phones last for 1.5 days on normal usage...
2. Its gingerbread updated is not yet available ...but wilfire s is coming with ginbr...so y not its available for desire......if there will be so when htc is going to release it
3. And what about the sound quality of this phn ...i not talking about speakers i am talking about headphones coming with it can it b compared with the music of X6...how long it can play continuous music
pls help me guys ......i want ur help desperativly

I am Desire user. Love that phone, but could someone explain me what's wrong with app. market? when I go to the "Just in" apps it stops unexpectedly.

Do you experience occasional unr... moreyes.. iv experienced unresponsiveness of the screen sometimes. the screen lags and wherever direction u tap in the screen it responses like your tapping the lowest part,thus activating the add widget menu..
actually this unresponsiveness happend once when someone is calling me, it ended me not answering the call..(cos theres no hardware key that can answer a call in desire).
but one solution for the screen unresponsiveness, i discovered is just to lock the screen and then unlock it..its like refreshing the screen..BUT this wont solve the call problem i had..
what i did is i downloaded an app in the market called ShakeCall.. it makes you answe your call just by shaking your phone.. works great.

If Size doesn't matter to you, i would suggest Htc Sensation or Samsung Galaxy S2. Their Specs right now is really on top of the line. if size does matter... go for htc desire s..
may i ask what comprises your "bad xperiences" in galaxy s1?
but if u ask me, il go for htc sensation.. i just cant live (now that iv experienced it) without Htc Sense UI.. such a great (for me, the best) user interface...
its like having your whole social life at the palm of your hand and how you want it.
Im currently a Desire user..and iv had this phone for about 4months already, and up until now.. im loving it... Really stands out from the crowd while carrying heavy guns of great functionality...

Hi fellow Desire users,
Do you experience occasional unresponsiveness on your Desires? I'm concerned because my Desire would sometimes freeze, the homescreen usually, when I tap on some shortcuts. This doesn't happen anywhere else though -- just the homescreen.

let's wait and see till first week of July if HTC can really deliver the gingerbread update. i guess that's more than enough reasonable time for them to keep their promise. if not, no more HTC for me on my next smartphone..
