I've had this phone for a couple of months now and I found it to be quite good, especially with HTC Sense. After posting a custom Rom, it became much faster and more customizable, which i love! I've had no problems with the phone, it's amazingly responsive, has a great internet connection and a brilliant camera, all with a great battery life. 10/10!

But if what you are asking is about custom ROMs, sorry but I know nothing about them at the moment as I have no intentions of rooting my Desire (for now - I guess).

If they did, that would be pretty idiotic because it would easily backfire at them. And besides, you yourself said that you got details about Desire specs here in GSMArena, then why blame HTC if you've read wrong info in the specs (if there is one).
Anyway, Desire does have a 512MB ROM, but because of the pre-installed apps, we're down to have 100+MB (fyi, I got 150MB free when I bought mine - brand new). Plus, you can only move SOME apps to SD card if you're on Froyo, so if you're not, better upgrade first. Also, you can't move pre-installed apps to SD card. So if you haven't downloaded any apps yet, OF COURSE you won't be able to move any apps to the SD card YET.

I've got a HTC Desire which GSMArena (http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_desire-3077.php) states that I should have 512mb Internal memory but when I bought it, I formatted everything and I only have 30mb to use?! I haven't even downloaded anything! I can't even move anything to the SDCard because 'it's not allowed'! I have no other problem with the phone except the memory. Are all HTC phones advertising lies when it comes to internal memory?!

Press menu settings scroll down to language which has a picture of a capital A then select language to English

Please check your phone thoroughly when buying!!! The Phone is superb!!! no lags, no defects, just very few pieces have some kind of defects such black camera, non-responsive screen while charging etc. Please check the phone... Mine works perfectly, hard using and temp is up to 35.5 C not more.waiting for summer. some people said that it reboots in hot conditions. do not know. just will check, otherwise, perfect phone... undoubtedly....

My camera doesn't work.when I open my HTC cam its just a black screen appeared,also when I'm trying to open an apps needs a camera its inform me that it could not connect to your cam...what can I do to solve this problem please..I'm really need your help ...

pls any one help me about my htc desire, when i keep my phn in charge,then the touch screen did not respond as usual,it becomes slow or become rough when charging!!!!what is the problem? and charge lasting just only for 1days?any problem wid my charger or charge port???pls help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

applying update on rooted desire will give you boot loop. you shouldn`t update rooted desire. you could unroot your device or wait for rooted official rom. i recommend second...
