The Softkeys' backlight syncs with the proximity sensor, so when there is enough light, the backlight wouldn't work and when it's dark, it will light up. Try it by covering the proximity sensor (Located near the secondary camera), the backlight will start.

satellite, 03 Feb 2014I have a question to all users of this phone.I have a probl... moreNo, this is not a problem. it is a feature provided by HTC. when there is enough light around you then those buttons don't light up but if you are in a dark place then lights glow up automatically. so no need to worry about that.

I have a question to all users of this phone.I have a problem with home button and cursor at front.Sometimes they light sometimes they don't.Is it a problem with my phone or its a problem with all Desire 500?

Heloo guys I want to ask some question about htc desire 500
Does it really heats up only a small period of using the internet, playng games etc,does support HD videos, and does can transfer music, pictures, games to sd card, and what quality have camera and sound.Please answer. I'm going to buy tomorrow a phone and I need to be sure that I'm making a good choise.Some people tell's me that alcatel one touch idol is better than htc so please someone who has experience with those two phone give an answer to know what to do.Thank you in advance :)

What about poor rom ! i think 4gb is too poor becoz the rom will be not more than 1gb ! & as u know the download apps will take space.
Pls. Anyone know different info, tell me the solution. Im waiting.

i am looking for a dualsim phone and in my country i ... moreIf you search for better Hardware, go for Motorola Moto G: bigger screen and display resolution, small resolution for camera, better graphics chip and big battery, newer Android version, but it's not slimmer than HTC Desire 500.
If you want solid quality and nicer interface, fluid animations and 0 lag, go for HTC Desire 500. Also, Desire 500 will get KitKat 4.4 Update this year. HTC Desire 500 has also a very beautiful design.
The specified Samsung it's below those 2. Chose wisely. I would go for HTC
