Unfortunately it records video in 3gp format. It's bad when u can't record ur videos in mp4 format. Cheaper devices can record in mp4.

You should try to soft reset your desire 526, I hope your problem will be fix. If it's still not fixed then you could try a hard reset for your Smartphone, then it will be solve.
