AnonD-205170, 11 Nov 2013how much internal memory is left after typical setup? Specs... morewent to shop to check this Desire 601. About 4Gb of memory was left for user from the original 8Gb. Desire 500 has only about 1Gb left from 4Gb.

This is an improved HTC one sv and I tell you what it was an very good unit ! The dual core processor proved to be fast and very efficient in term of power consumption I am all for the 601

AnonD-204754, 09 Nov 2013 Which one to buy htc 601 or 500?The HTC Desire 601 is a better choice.
Firstly, the 601 has Corning Gorilla Glass 2, which the 500 does not have.
Secondly, the 601 has a higher resolution screen:(480 x 800 pixels vs 960 x 540 pixels)
Thirdly, the 601 has a better gpu, resulting in better gaming graphics.
Fourth, the 601 has a better processor, in terms of benchmarks:(Krait vs Cortex)
Next, the 601 can record video in 1080p, as compared to the 500 only able to record in 720p.
Last but not least, while the 500 has a higher resolution rear and front cameras, it does not have HTC Zoe which the 601 has.

Hi guys,
I just bought the device 2 days ago and I can tell you that I'm pretty happy with it. The performance is great, no lag, very nice and smooth. The design is great...a mix of HTC One and HTC One X. It doesn't look or feel cheap at all. Belive me it looks and feels in better in hand tham GS4, and the Sense 5 is awsome. Generally android is a bit cartoonish but sense 5 looks very serious and bussiness wise. Overall I'm very happy with it.

The phone is definitely worth buying. Got it few days ago and I am extremely happy with it. Camera is high preformance and sound is high end. Preformance of the whole device is great and I strongly recomend you get it :) if anything else is bothering you about this device feel free to contact me.

HTC should release an Android 4.4 Kitkat update for the HTC Desire 601 since the update was confirmed for the HTC One mini. The two phones have nearly the same specs!
