this is the worst phone,it's battery lasts for only an hour on 4g and doesn't connect to WiFi and WiFi symbol keeps blinking all the day.now I got BlackBerry q10, and I must say BlackBerry still manufacturer the best hardware.

need help guys!
i got this unit of htc last year from singapore. brought it here in manila. it's a great fne though. i loved it!
unfortunately, i had accidentally removed the sim in a hurry not turning it off first. when i turned it back on. it didn't work since. up to now i'm still looking for a tech shop to have it reprogrammed or whatnot. since the htc service ctr here in manila does not cater those units bought outside the country. in short, maybe there's someone out there who knows how, where and who i could go to for this concern of mine.
i'd appreciate it much for any comments and suggestions.

i got this phone in July of 2014, and today February 2015. the phone is no longer use able i had it in a protective case and never got water on it. the phone battery went to crap the screen doesn't work and the wifi doesn't work either. do not bother with this peace of crap device.

Guys I bought it today.. I'm trying to upgrade the system to be 4.4.3 noting that the original system when I bought was 4.4.2
Also I want to root it, is there any easy way for that since I don't have laptop.

I bought the HTC Desire 601 last february, and I am very unimpressed. I bought it looking for a mobile more "Social" than a blackberry, which it was. However the phone didn't last my physical uses, the plastic casing has broken, the battery now has burn holes where the pins go, the screen shattered, the camera lens shattered. I feel that HTC is a great company and I was impressed at the beginning, but they need to make the physical phone better and not out of such cheap plastics.Overall the phone ran great though!

I have bought htc desire 601 since eight months, it is a perfect mobile in all its properties, and I don't upgrade it to kitkat version 4.4, battery capacity is great but I face on problem in main camera, it is too low quality I love htc company

Best phone ever i used it for 2 year it is a great phone i love htc company and now i am using htc one m8 gold. Great phone . No problem with htc company but i hate apple company no sincere service of apple ... I... Love....htc

My desire 601 has a wi-fi problem with the button it says it is connecting to the wi-fi but it is frozen.

Guys,
For those who are facing battery drain & heating issues after updated Android system, backup your important data, then do the following
1) factory reset
2) wipe cache partition

Bugspots, 02 Dec 2014I have had 3 htc phones and currently have the desire 601. ... moreIt was a mistake for me upgrading to 4.4, the battery drain faster and motherboard got overheated, went to the servicing center ask for a system downgrade was told is impossible, I told them my motherboard get heated up easily, they take the repair and change the whole board...wala my phone back to 4.2.2 again.

I have had 3 htc phones and currently have the desire 601. Great phones, I love them. I have just had a system update and my battery charge has disappeared! My battery would normally need a charge every two days, now it needs a charge every two - three hours. Can anybody help!!!!!

A Bad decision to buy HTC. The phone is giving hardware and software problems with in 6 months. It is also getting hang and reboot by itself very often

After the kitkat update the performance of my battery got worse. I contacted HTC and they proposed to send it for repair.
Within 8 days I had my phone back. They installed an update and added a new battery. Perfect logistics and great service!
Up to now everything seems to work fine. My battery lastst for more than 2 days.

Whatever you do DON'T buy this phone. Piece of junk, had it for 6 months & already my battery was toast!!! Phone always freezing up & all in all just a cheap, bad purchase
