They said that they updated the software (but they didn't fix the WiFi, hi, hi).
I asked if they updated the operation system to Lollipop, but they said that this phone cannot take any newer operating system's version at all, for the moment.
So it seems that they updated the Baseband or Kernel versions, which are mentioned jn Settings->About phone.

It is about 15 hours now that I did the trick he mentions and WiFi works!

I suggest you to laminate your mobile screen with tempered glass but be beware to uncover the proximity sensor.....

Online purchase has no warranty of htc smartphones. This is service centre's statement. So please don't buy htc smartphones online. I am very disappointed from flipkart.

I also have WiFi problems (Flight Mode on/off). Today I called the support, they told me to do the following.
1. Go to settings > WLAN
2. Click the 3 dots at the bottom right > Wi-Fi Direct
3. Now click right bottom "rename device"
4. Enter "htc desire_626g" without quotes ofc
5. Go back to Settings > Apps
6. Click the 3 dots at top right and then "reset apps"
7. Hold down Volume up + Power button until your phone shutdown
8. Power on your phone
I did the same thing they told me to do, so far it is looking good (4hrs) but we never know. I still have wifi and I don't have to do the trick with flight mode on/off.
What I don't understand is why my phone is telling me "there is no update available". I am on 4.4.2. Shouldn't I be able to install up to 4.4.4 without rooting the phone?
