After going thro'the specs of 628 I went to buy it but I was shocked to see the odd color border around it & other htc phones I suggest htc designers that go for decent designs to regain your indian market and induce full hd screens for medium range phones to be in competition your earlier designs were superb
Recruit some fresh minds for your better future Start producing plain white or black phones at the earliest

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2016OTG support?I have bought it on 24 July 2016. I has two cons. Firstly it does not support OTG and other one its volume it low. Its upper speaker does not work. But sound with headphone is awesome. Battery life is not bad.

edit: i find it really funny that some people are complaining of over heating, i have it and it stays as cool as cucumber. NO HEATING AT ALL.

This phone has not even completed a month since its release date still people are claiming that they have used it for a month, COMPLETELY BIASED AND FAKE comments by samsung fanboys.
this is my honest review..
I bought thiis phone on june 27 2016, almost 3 weeks...
Performance:
performance is superb 3gb ram never leaves you demanding more, performs even better than samsung counterpart j5.
Display:
uses Super LCD instead on Super AMOLED found on J5, display may not be as good as samsung but it comes seriously close to it.
Sound:
HTC is always the king of music! but still i wonder people are commenting on its shitty sound (this proves they have not even used this phone). though i must agree volume is quite low.
but SOUND VIA HEADPHONE IS UNBATABLE BY ANY COMPETEOR AT THIS PRICE POINT.
Build quality and DESIGN:
again a HTC department...
its sad to know that it dosnt have gorilla glass but the display is about 0.5 mm deep so even if the phone falls down it wont make any impact on screen.and RUBBER feel on the back makes phone grip good and BLUE-ORANGE-BLACK color combination makes it look sexy.
CAMERA:
may not be very best when compared to g4, but it isnt too bad either it gives quite above average photos. (though i think it could have been better, especially selfie camera)
BATTERY LIFE:
i go to collage with full charge and my friends continuously play bad piggies or doodle jump, and i end up with 10-20% charge in evening. so battery life is not as bad as it is critisized here. ( it can go 2 days if you are light-normal user), i dont have any problem if battery lasts a day.
MIScellenious:
htc has focused on very basic key features like call clarity noise cancellation and they do their purpose very excelently.
Conclusion:
choose it blindly over samsung galaxy j5.
