HTC Desire 816 is one of the worst phone in the present market.Coming to the battery Perspective it wont even come for 24 Hours if the phone is fully charged. Regarding Performance After lollipop Update phone has gone worst. HTC blinkfeed 6 need to update. Overall HTC Desire doesn't deserve a position in this competitive world.

M.Mallesh, 03 Oct 2015I am now use htc 816g . purching 4 month ,now start proble... morei am really wondering how can you guys end up into such diverse issues... network receiver is bad, battery is also faulty and on top of that not able to upgrade the software! ...this must be some kind of KARMIC cycle fulfillment, i can't think of anything else!

I've been using this phone for about a year now. It never gave me the issues the above comments state. I am on the Virgin Mobile network. Around March they upgraded it to Android 5.0.1. This was a true middle end device that gave a lot of bang to your buck. My wife has the S5 and at less then half the price it is easily as good. So what are the drawbacks of the device. Incompatable software. What the hell is HTC DOT? And the 8GB internal storage. After AOS 5.0.1, there is less then 3 GB of space on the device.

Worst service. The service isn't good at all. They will take a lot of time to repair and charge money for it even the warranty period is not done. Not at all ideal choice to purchase in India.

The battery on the phone was low as usual, since i was busy in office, i thought to put it on charge a bit later.... when the batter was on 4%, i put the phone on charging.... after 10 mins of charging, the phone conked off.... i thought the charger was not connected well... but then i realised... the phone just wasn't charging... i tried different switch points but the phone would not charge.... now the phone is dead..... it just gave me a battery charging problem even when it was on idle mode.

Dude.. Don't listen to anyone just go for the Xperia Z .. htc hasn't provide any updates to the phone yet not even lollipop.. where as Sony updated the Z to 5.1.1 and the battery and performance has got even better.. And Even Faster than the Shitty Desire 816

Hi, i'm using a D816 since 7 months . I changed 3 of 16GB memory chips ( 2 local and one Sandisk class 10 chip) because they all got crashed within last 2,3 months. I don't know whether the Lollipop update caused this. Can anybody please tell me a solution for this issue?

It has a super speed internet capability and it has extreme power saving mode. I have an HTC D816. Its performance is faster than xperia or samsung or any other smart phone :)
