I give this phone a thumbs down because even though specs are great it is not ergonomic at all. The power key is in a stupid place and the glossy plastic is slippery, ugly and attracts smudges easily. I am very disappointed.

Jatin R bro can you do me a favor, check and tell me if i download a song from some website using the internet and the phone inbuilt browser and want to save it directly on sd card can i save it directly or i have to use PC for that also....bcoz i have read that inbuilt apps of htc can save directly to sd card...help will be appreciated as i have to purchase the mobile and want to confirm same b4 buying

Dear Wazid bro...i have read online on various websites a lot many user reviews on htc desire 816 and can confirm that some apps can be moved to sd card while others cannot...also file manager is not inbuilt in htc desire 816 and 3rd party file managers cannot edit the files on sd card....many apps developers have not updated their apps to work on kitkat so not all apps will work on it...the apps which have been updated can store their data directly on sd card....i would ask the users who have purchased htc desire 816 to confirm what i have read.... Jatin R is right you can use PC to move files to and from sd card....their is also a small hack which will let you save data on sd card and bypass the restriction of kitkat but that will void the warranty of handset

Htc desire 816 is mch mch bttr den grand 2..
Bt 4 thousand cstly :p bt best mbl.
Bt htc resell value is much better den samsung.. bcz samsung drops their price like an water..
Nyways if money matters den grand 2 if camera, n performance matter den htc desire 816

Its gd mbl.. it gt everythng.. camera is good, 1.5gb ram for multitasking is enough, gaming is smooth, some games like GTA not at all smooth.. anyways GTA is also nt smooth for pc.. den wt u xpect :p.. bt asphalt 8 runs smoothly on medium settings, at higher it giver littel lag smtyms..
Battery lasts 8 hour on continous screen on, wifi on, mobile network on, n heavy use..
I also used grand 2 both are equal in battery..
And htc desire 816 is bigger den the grand 2 in screen size, n processor clocked at 1.6ghz while grand 2 is 1.2ghz.. so its an huge diffrence.. im hving two htc desire 816.. n both giving same battery..
So the ppl who syin.. battery lasts 16 hour with heavy usage are the fools.. bt if u play n stop... Den yp it lasts 16 to 18 hour..
All depends on ur usage.. with medium usage it lasts full day..
Multitasking is smooth,
Mbl is big bt no difficulty to carry in pocket.
To be honest..
Camera day light 10/10
Low light n indoors 8/10 (better den grand 2)
Battery 9/10
1 sim slot.. support 2g n 3g.. 2g at 2.5g
And 3g at hspda.. nt higher den 7.2mbps

I think its enough 3g..
if u want only 2g signal den use slot 2..
n rem slot 1 is little tight..
smtyms difficult to pull out the sim.. it stuck in it :p.. bt dnt wry press one or two time more den it will came..
ram usage after boot.. it only eat 400 to 430 mb ram..
but if u turn on the cam after dat ram usage will go high.. upto 600mb..
bt always it give u.. 600mb free at all the time..
and must restart ur mobiles atleast once in a day.. :)

Hi friends which Mobile is the best Samsung grand 2 or HTC desire 816 .I am confused apps and games are cannot be moved to ext sd card in both phones isIt correct? Some people are says any kitkat updated mobile cannot be movable any file and cannot be deleted any file in ex sd card.tell me Frankly whoever already buy this mobile anybady facing this type of problem because I am preparing to buy mobile.If there is no movable option why should they gave memory card.people are not understanding every phone was hanged when they're using internet and playing games, that is not an issue I need movable option.plz reply me the correct solution for my doubt because I am ready to buy which mobile thanks for advance...

well its close to being 3 weeks...im having this phone...and i give 9/10..good phone overall..best thing is its price....quite worth what u pay for...the screen is amazing also the speakers....battery life is also pretty good....on heavy usage and gaming...it lasts for 16 hrs...which is good ...casual users...shud easily get 2 days atleast........the interface is one of the smoothest...cam is great in daylight and ok in lowlight.....gaming is good...though there is minor sttutering in asphalt 8 at high settings....it does get heated under heavy use...3g speeds are ok....its got some scratches...on the back...cover is advisable...its actually a bit big ...and its diff to keep in tge pocket......well thats it...its an overall good phone...only thing...a little more internal mem wud be better.....

Whats the use of boom sound and sense 6 if your device has got only 3.75 Gb of internal memory and 1.3 Gb of ram.The hd display makes me laugh at it even my note 2 had a better display than this crap.The pictures captured by my note 2 in low light was better than this shit.The only thing you get is a bit fast speed.It is a total waste of money.

i was not satisfied with my htc desire 600 camera when i compared it to many mobile phones that has the same 8 pixels camera so does htc desire 816 has the same problem?

great phone ...superb interface response, camera, and speed. sound is good but not up to the expectation of boomsound clarity.
nyc selfies and lots of user friendly features ...a nice and bst prescribed phone under 25k

Camera is awsm in day light, bt in low light n indoor nt great its jst ok..
On earth ders no mbl which dnt create noise in low light.. every single mbl create noise.. even sony z2 and famous iphone 5s..
And and if you want mors crisp pics in low light, use camera360 app.. ok bro.. :)
N still this mbl is good.. in these features.. better den the.. moto x n grand 2..
