Got the 816 yesterday....found it to be good overall....android is 4.4.2. Good camera. is fast.
but it lacks some of the features of samsung...
1. such as direct dial. Calling through the contacts takes almost 4-5 cliks. third party apps are not so great too.
2. You have to use third party apps to get to the files on your SD card or even your internal storage.
3. does not allow google hindi input (hindi transliteration - a very good app for typing in hindi) to work in messages or whatsapp making it a useless installation.
These are all standard features in samsung...

Got to see it yesterday it has all the latest specs in its budget segment. Build Quality is good and its quite a low weight phone given a 5.5" Display

but guys its dual sim standby not active like 700
but anyways superb phone.only gray colour available.

At last after a long wait I got my HTC desire 816. And only I can say that its just osum.. feels great in hand.. sleek design.. great camera.. great resolution.. Nice battery backup... In last month I have used t2 ultra, grand 2 and galaxy s3 neo but I can definitely say that this one is way ahead than the other... 10/10.

White color of htc desire 816 will get dusty soon becoz it not the glossy plastic as samsung s have so it will be better to go with grey one , hmm the white one is beautiful but we can,t take risk
