It is running on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat with Sense 6.

HTC support representatives aren't giving a reliable information. Each one gives different availability date. How can they get different info. Its ridiculous!!!

I asked 3-4 retailers in Ludhiana and the device is going to be on sale on May 16 or 17. They are also booking the device in advance... Device going to rock... May be it is 4g lte. Lets hope the best..

I have watched a couple of reviews on utube n even the indian reviewers used white 816.......
But when I peeped in flipkart ....the white htc desire 816 was missing

its so frustating man. The co. Launching the phone doesnt evn knw when it would b available.! The htc guys are fooling us from what 21 april itself. Sometimes they say its availble, smtyms 7may sometimes 15 may..... If motorola launches x+1 at dis point of time, dn htc is doomed.
