Flipkart doesn't list HTC desire 816. I saw somebody saying it lists on flipkart.

Ok Now some optimistic analysis:
- htc.com website shows four color variants where white is not present. These models are also reflecting mobiles for contract which can only be single sim. As all european conuntries do not have the white variant and they are all single sim. but Asian countries like China , Taiwan have white variants listed.
No HTC desire 816 listing on Indian website as of now.
-Flipkart currently also shows the same 4 color without the white variant...Also in Flipkart, all models are shown as single sim...
Now what I understand is that if HTC is launching dual sim htc desire 816 as said in their event, white model needs to come into Indian market as it is dual sim.. Only black and white are dual sim models.. All other colors are most likely single sim variants..Only exception i saw is Vietnam which has dual sim listed desire 816 with 4 colors not including white..
Only in China red color is also dual sim ..
So looking at the color range people are telling in this discussion, my best guess is that those colors are for single sim variant. white model has to come if they are going to launch dual sim.. And they have confirmed dual sim in their event... So I hope white model eventually comes.. i can take the delay but not unavailability of white model.

Specs are good and that is the only reason I am waiting for this phone. But still if it is not releasing in white color then I will not go for it. And also if they delay the release for some more time then I might go for some other option because its already more than 1 and a half month now and we are only getting 'NEWS' of this phone and nothing else. Hope they try to release asap in India (Hyd).

Hey guys..
Desire 816 vl be available by 15th or 16th of May..I contacted to my frnd in Delhi, he visited the nearby HTC store..they tld him dat the device vl be avail. On the above dates....Hope For the best of it..n v get the device at the mention dates..:)

When HTC launched desire 816.. they said be ready for a pleasant surprise.. And we are getting so many of these silly surprises... And the big surprise would be --- no white model

Guys... The Indian HTC CEO Mr. Faisal siddhiki told that it will have doul sim and all other mentioned features and a free flip cover.So wait bcs m also waiting from 1 month

deepu, 13 May 2014i did a chat with HTC executive and they called me personal... moreWiFi direct uses is if you want to send or receive any file or video directly to a WiFi connection. like Bluetooth but it much faster then that.you can send heavy files within a mint.

I contacted htc thru live chat n d same guy who told me last week dat phne wud b launching on 15 he only told me today dat it would b launching nxt week. Wt d hel man. Dse r decent specs n nt high end specs dat htc is mkng ppl w8. Evn if u hav a gud pdt n ur marktng channels r nt gud dn no matr wht u wil loose customer base. Evn htc guys r nt sure of specs or date of availability. Dy are jus beating around the bush. and evn company like xiaomi hs outstead htc in the criteria of shipment. Imagine

Better buy t2 ultra . It we spent time on this we will never buy anything . In the last we will be betrayed by the HTC. Also flipkart listed all color except white one :-(

this is really pathetic... this is why even having great specs HTC is yet not made any mark or impression in the INDIAN market...
After so much so hipe and speculations when we consumers made our mind on 1 thing and the HTC guys are not not in a state or able to say any thing which they can say "yes its official and confirmed".. bull shitttt...

I dont think the HTC reps are aware of the colors availability and are just beating around the bush... I hope white color does come.. even if its a delayed one... All HTC promo has been based on white model.. Hoow can they not release the white variant....
But the listings on flipkart.com do not seem to confirm my opinion.. No white model in it... also it says single sim... What a pathetic state..
