I m using htc816 frm 4 mnths nw m facing problems.after updating system charging speed is very slow in half n hr it charge just 5% n moreover d btry is draining very fast..wht should i do

Everything is nice in this phone. But there are two problems with this...
1.camera has great resolution, but the images are not bright and colorful. Faces are looking very black.. In the mobile, its showing the image colorfully, but if u see in a lappy, or desktop, image is looking dull with less brightness and less skin color..
2. Not having full brightness as other mobiles like lg, sony, samsung have. Whenever i go outside during day time, i could not see the screen clearly even after full brightness is kept.. the brightness is low...
Can anyone help me please, regarding these two issues? Are there any apps to resolve these two problems? Thanx in advance

i just got a software update. after the update the data in not working fine. the internet became very very slow and sometime it dont work at all. can anyone help on this......

I waited for about 3 months..but device was not repaired by HTC...reason being scarcity of spare parts..!! Finally, after uploading my written query on HTC website and having called them (Customer care) for at least 6-7 times; I got it replaced. The reason for replacement was "excessive time lag in repair work due to scarcity of spare parts" (finally they could realise it.. :-( )

What all stupidity are u saying...make sure you own a desire 816....i dont think thats an original product with you....or else you might have any issues with HTC....this phone is awseome in it range with some tiny problems(usual for a smartphone these days)...each & every problems u listed is strange....guys like u dosent deserves HTC...

HTC Desire 816 - Experience. Please read before deciding to buy any HTC phone. Will be beneficial for you only.
I would advise all not to buy HTC phones at all.
I had bought HTC Desire 816 in September 2014, overall the phone seemed to be good but then one day i sat on my friends bike, we rode for an hour or so, and when i got down there was this huge crack on the display.
Now in a 1 months time if there is a crack on the phone, anyone would repair it and where would anybody head to in such a time, the Authorised service Centre. I went to (TVS Electronics, Mumbai, India).
A. All service centres are outsourced by HTC, so you understand their way of working.Its been a month and a half i am without my cell and every time i call them they tell me that the part has been dispatched from Taiwan and hasn't reached India yet. I mean I don't understand which courier service in this world would take a month to deliver a parcel. Its Insane.
B. Not only that they have this call centre support team but they are not at all helpful. First of all they blamed me only on how am i calling them after 30 days when the service centre had told i will get the phone in 15 days.
And to top of it, all they can do in any case is just call the service centre and tell them to do it on priority basis. How dumb, That can even be done by me. Why has the HTC kept a call centre for this (What a waste, no wonder their financial condition is bad, all they can do is fight cases with other companies and wasting money on that, this same attention if they would give to the customers, certainly they would not have been in losses).
And yes the call centre people cant even forward the call to their higher ups, Wow .... So in general they are not authorised to do anything.
I had heard that HTC service is bad, but now i know it is the worst. I spent two months salary on this shitty HTC Desire 816, wish i wouldn't have bought it.
The Bottom line is DO NOT BUY ANY HTC phones ever. Its the lamest company that i have ever seen in my whole life.

Suhail, it's not the problem of HTC 816 or File Manager. It's the problem of your Android Version. This issue is very common for every 4.4 Kitkat users. If you can't adjust with this issue, you can Root your mobile to get total SD Card access. Otherwise you need to wait until your phone Gets Android 5.0 lollipop update.
Samsung and LG users are very happy cos they are using a smartphone with Inbuilt File Manager. They don't have this issue. They have total SD Card access permission ! Hope you understand !
