I've been using this mobile for 6 months. In my review, I'll not speak about the advantages as they're like any other mobile.
Only the disadvantages which make it the most stupid mobile from the most stupid company in the world:
1- When you receive a call if the sensor is covered by a flip cover or anything, the sound comes from the bottom speaker only, so you hardly hear the ring as it is so low. If you want to hear it, use it without a cover and don't put it in your pocket.
2- There's no built-in file manager, so you can't copy, delete or transfer to the memory card. Your alternative is "polaris office" but it's so boring and stupid.
3- There's no video call option which is found in the cheapest mobiles.
4- There are alot of built-in apps which are't needed and can't be moved to sd card or removed. They use up the Ram and the internal memory.
5- The remaining memory after installing some apps and a big game will be less than 1.5 G --- so boring
6- The screen light is low. It's so tiring and hard to see in sunlight.
7- The camera is good with videos but with pictures not good enough because of bad autofocus. You mustn't depend on this feature and keep still as much as you can. The flash is not so strong compared to a poor mobile: " Samsung S duos 2".
8- The camera is so bad with flash because of its bad design near the flash, so if you want good pictures at night, you must remove the flip cover as it reflects someway the light of the flash. The result is so bad pictures that are blur.
9- The heat problem is so obvious specially with hd games and 3G
Finally, I own this mobile and this was my evaluation, I mentioned the merits only because I didn't expect to meet in a mobile which was expected to take the place of others.
Anyway, I'm satisfied!

I purchased same model of htc 20 days back but 2 times I faced with problem of handset. It hangs out in between n getting automatically switch off n on. Customer care is also not able to give solution.

i m useing 816 since 4days...plz slove my problem.when i put my ph in pocket or flipcover..allways incoming call ring tone rings on down speaker.but when the front sencer is open.then its rings dual speakers...

I have submitted my mobile to your service centre at Ansal Plaza New Delhi with Ref. #my mobile 5 days back, yet part is not available is there any customer care at HTC ? Brand new mobiles develop problem power switch is on the wrong side of phone ? Google is full of complaints about faulty power button problem in HTC, search for yourself and see the amount of pages. No accountability in HTC India. No Reply !! makes false promises that you mobile will be replaced by new one if develops any problem, but in actual it is no way, will keep you mobile in service centre for want of part for months. No one should even think of buying of HTC Mobile just because of aggressive pricing they are pitched in 3rd word countries like India what quality & after sale service is coming to Indian customers is a big question mark ??
Once you have spent your hard earned money, you have lost it forever to HTC.
