I have bought one HTC Desire 816 dual Sim Mobile Phone. But I am not getting any option how I can do make video phone on 3G. I am using 3G on GSM, Is there any one konw how can I make video phone other than 3rd party software??

Bought brand new HTC desire 816. It is simply superb. Only drawback I find is that it does have screen protection.

Hi guys i bought this device and it's great but I face some problems
I think my phone for China because i found some Chinese apps
Also the device name is different
( HTC desire d816w)
Also the software update option not there
The device come with htc sense 5.5
Please help me how can I update it?

It depends on ur requirement. i saw every comment. If u want bigger display then forget about powerful cpu and gpu. Bcoz in hardware display is most expensive part of mobile.
Xperia zr has powerful cpu and gpu but display size is 4.6Inch on other hand 816 has bigger display but u have comprmise with cpu and gpu.
If u want powerfu cpu,gpu plus bigger display with 274 ppi then even samsung cannot help you(i m nt talking about local brand). So think about what is ur requirement then buy mobile
Those who want bigger display with best cpu and gpu then spend atleast 30k

video playback is not smooth, I play the same video on Xperia C, it looks like a HD video but not on my HTC 816, both on default player as well as MX player, can anyone tell me whats the problem

It's a policy they need to follow. If you ever heard about custom rom then it's the best solution. Great new device will soon get their own custom rom cooked by our huge devs community.

I bought the phone to understand later that it's Dual sim active. In other words when you are talking on SIM 1 the other phone gives switch off and vice versa. this defies the whole purpose of Dual Sim.

hello everyone,
i was thinking to buy this phone, currently i'm using a xperia C. well i've few questions i hope you guys will answer them.
1)how is the camera quality in low light situations?
2)how is the sound output form the speakers? is it louder than the other phones in the same category?
3)this is the most important question,i know this phone supports "apps 2 sd card" by default but i guess it does not transfer much data of any application to the sd card like my xperia c(it has just 1gb AVAILABLE storage for apps but it transfers almost 90% data of almost every app to the sd card)i guess the desire 816 just transfers a small part of any app may be because of kit kat
so guys can anyone of you tell that how much data is on sd card and how much is on the internal memory after moving them to sd card, in case of following apps and games
1)asphalt 8
2)dead trigger 2
3)mx player
4)subway surf and temple run
5)gta
6)whatsapp
7)any other big app or game
please help me,i hope someone will answer my questions

These CPUs and their poor gpu will get outdated in less than a yr.. Desire 816 is available at flipkart at 26k! Just add 2-3k more n u will get phones like s4, nexus 5, g2 etc.. Flipkart price of xperia z is 24k. Which is also a better phone than desire 816! I also like desire 816 allot bt giving 26k for a phone Which is having adrino 305 gpu is total madness!! And 4.6 is very convenient.. 5.5 plus front speakers means massive dimensions..

Desire Qualcomm processor with 305 gpu is decent enough to play most of the games. If some body interested in heavy gaming then definitely that person should search for other phones.
I would like to correct you that s4 is still expensive then 816.
