Dont Buy this phone,
After two HTC phones during past 5 years, this phone made me and will make you feel cheated primarily because of google stock rom merged with sense. Unless HTC converts this phone to full sense UI - this phone is waste of money.
Camera pictures are also not worth 13MP.
HTC will never reply or update on this issue.

I bought this phone on 30 oct. 2014 i just open the box touch don.t work properly fully waste of money camera can,t work like people accept from htc toch cant work unresponding apps plz i suggest dont buy htc desire 816 plz plz .......

I bought this phone 2 weeks ago...this is a wrost phone.Touch response is not good,phone lags a lot. Buying this phone is just waste of money.

Its running half google stock and half sense (just launcher) why? Can we get updates for this device to get full sense ui experience? (btw reply)

Very bad mobile phone. Touches don't work properly.... Phone lags even while playing subway surf. Display is poor. Pixels can be noticed easily. Don't ever buy this phone. Very very very poor... Even poor than karbon,lava, etc etc. Looks like a professional phone but actually itz a big crap.

I bought an HTC 816g desire 3 days back and I am having the same problem you faced especially while charging the phone. The phone keeps getting stuck and there is a horrendous lag in the touch response. Even to unlock the phone is difficult.Then for sometime it becomes OK. Also the contacts I imported from my old phone suddenly disappears whenever the phone feels like!! Can you help me regarding this? Thanks

AnonD-325651, 30 Oct 2014Is HTC Desire 816G a CDMA+GSM mobile? Its gsm gsm ! The phn is quite wel! In 17.5! If u buy htc 816 dual so u shuld buy 816g becoz both are 3g ! And jst ram nd procesor change dats not mater other wise ur choise ! Ovral phn is best ! All is well
