HTC has tricked everyone yet again with their delay of supply.....htc desire 820 was very well received in India as per renowned sources on 4th of nov 2014...but yet there is no sign of availability of the phone as of today in the retail outlets...i am from Bangalore and was eagerly waiting to get my hands on one of these...i went crazy and enquired nearly every major outlet( and i literally mean it) and some verified retailers...nothing...not a clue...they cant even give a specific date..not even marginal ones.....well history does repeat itself..and promises are meant to be broken....htc has pioneered this sayings in recent times...i hope everyone remembers the availability issues of desire 816...well i am an huge htc fan...but as everyone...thoroughly disappointed.....

I want good p... moreI am considering the same two devices for my next phone and have researched on the internet for details about their chipsets and the phones themselves. If you want pure performance (S800 is more powerful than S615), updates and a device with a proven track record, go for nexus 5. If expandable storage, audio performance and battery life are your concerns then go for the desire 820. Not that desire 820's chipset is slow, its just that nexus 5 has even more power. The 820 is a brand new device so the consumer feedback is zero, but I don't think it should do badly in any area. I don't know about the 820's battery life, but I am sure it will be better than nexus 5. Gaming-wise both have similar performance although nexus 5 has a better GPU, since the screen resolutions differ. The desire 820 has a better rear camera too, though nexus 5 is not bad either.
Overall, the 820 seems like a good all-round device, while the nexus 5 focuses on faster updates, even more processing power, sharper screen and a stock android experience but has just average battery life and no microsd slot.
