Hi there. As you may know the 820 has a 64 bits based octa core processor but the Android OS installed is 32 bits, maybe this is the real culprit of the heating issue. However as we await the coming of the 64 bits version hopefully due soon now, the best you can do at the moment is to set your system on power saving mode, that could help.

mine is xiaomi mi4i. sometime ago when i compared the camera quality to htc 820\my friend has\ the results are better and much clearer on xiaomi, especially for the distant object.

HTC Desire 820 was purchased and now 7 month, excellent performance,as earlier post not much heat nothing to worry, good smart phone, no hanging,speed good , multiple application wonderful performance, Worth to go for it , as it had 4G compatable

Guys dont go for it! Bought 2 months ago started stuckng heating from the first day gave to service centre kept it 15 days still the same problem! 😕

i bought htc 820s 2 months ago. it really getting over heat while browsing as well as playing games.
its too bad.
remaining all are good.

When i take photos with rear camera the photo gets blur.but front camera works really fine..

Bestest phone :) performance is awsm . I am using it from last 4months without a single lag. Front camera is very good . Rear camera is good but not best. Battery backup is good .
It heats up when i play heavy games like nfs or gta etc ,But it is having octa core so i have No problem with that. Better than any other phone in this range. Sexy look ;) now waiting for lollipop update :)

wonderful news for htc 820 users :) htc confirmed android 5.1 and sense 7 to following devices:m8,e8,m8s,desire eye,820dual,butterfly 2 :)now the wait is over,dont worry about updates,time to cheer htc 820 users :)
