I have D820 single sim and every things are good and ok.i agree with eidbest about heating.all smartphone get hot and D820 temp is natural.display is very high quality,the phone speed is awesome and amazing in this range.sound bass is great and.....
D820 is the best midrange I've ever worked till now.

I've now completed 3 weeks of ownership of the Desire 820 single sim version. Brief specs: Octa Core 1.5, 2 GB rams, 16GB storage, Android 4.4.4. Unlike the negative posts reflected on this forum, I've not experienced any kind of overheating, be it playing heavy games, or surfing the net, or anything, just normal temperatures and nothing more. Furthermore, the battery is now truly good, beating all expectations so let's call it decent in all areas, even with 3G on. The screen has now proven itself very well under all kinds of usage, the sound system is a revelation, except the cam, this is the only area where I am not very happy as I expected more. However having said that, both cams manage fairly good pictures. All in all, the 820 is a fabulous phablet, being a joy to use everyday. It has the feel of premium phones, looks great, handles great, feels truly solid and very well built. Although I am not here to question anyone's negative sentiments, just to voice mine which are totally different thankfully. Based on my experience I will not hesitate to recommend this anytime

m using this phone ... and m a gamer... and the battery life is not good so i dont want this phone... better to go to desire 816 if u want a good battery life..!!

Hi guys before 1 week I bought desire 820 but this not good at battery back up and it heats tooooooo much in this price better u go for Samsung galaxy note3 neo before buying this u think soooooooo much and do wat u wish but think before other while u will worry sooooooo much after words

i have a good answer for all of your question about battery backup and overheating.
both of these top condition is true for this phone i am researching about this phone for 2weeks and now i find the answers.
desire 820 ( snapdragon 615 ) has 8 core but i as u know as it has 2 quad core cpu. 4+4=ocore and called it octa core but i think it uses the first quad core 1ghz and if this cpu cant process it turn off this one and use other quad core 1.5 ghz, like many smartphone as u know like s4. but i see a video 820s vs 820 . in this video both of phones are runnig cpu-z app.
and i see something. in desire 820 8 of 8 core are runnig but in 820s only 2 of them in same situation, and it is the reason of battery backup and battery backup
