I'v bought this phone from a local shop here in lebanon since december 2014 It is a desire 820t after reserch I found that it is from china.
first of all phone is snappy fast does not lag, and no sudden restarts or problems, may be onece every month I would face a hang or two but but not a magour one.
when I press the power button to wake it up, it freezes and does not respond imediatly, takes a little bit, but it works eventualy.
the big issue is with battery drain, the battery deplets so fast even when not using it, when an app is working in the back ground like face book the battery will go dry in few hours and the phone gets hot, ok i sign out of face book and force stop it, the battery lasts alittle bit longer, the big second magor problem is the extream over heating, when you use your phone for a period of time it gets over heated, when play game it becom hot to the touch, you realy feal the pain, when I check the tempreture with "cpuz" I see it reach 70°c woow thats hot a little bit and i can boil water on it, i put it in the freezer to cool down, the third magor flaw it is a chinese phone, they have imported it from china, and it is ment fornthe chinses market, when I searched for the update option I'v couldn't find it, I'v e-mailed htc and explaimd my problem, and they have responded, your phone have been tankered with, there is no update for you, use it as it is..... man I'm mad, and I have used it as it is no uodate on the chinese KK rom-no not chinese words it is written in english- untill now, I have played with an option and changed it from dalvik to ART, and the phone froz, I have to master reset and lose all my data, which meade me sad, I tok it an oportunity and went to the dark sid, i'v unlocked my boot loader, and rooted it, and done lots of thing in order to get back my update option, and it came back.
so in summery:
Good:
Fast phone, clear screen, good cameras, good reception bars
Bad:
Over heating, Batterybdrains in 2-3 hours if used contiously, no update option, low sound volum,

Best phone, almost 1.1/2 year using this phone no issues faced.music, camera , everything is good and advance technology like screen cast, Wi-Fi dlna, dotview, makes phone unique

The service center says motherboard issue. Its just 16 months old. Its out of warranty and I really took care of it (no overnight charging, no computer/any other charger used). Is there a way to sue HTC?

Hi,I'm the user of HTC 820 for past 2 years till now I haven't faced any problem like mobile lagging, battery drain, camera issue. overall HTC is best product. This phone is only for normal uses not for heavy uses.

Never buy this phone i repeat! after 14 months phone suddenly shutdown and now wont startup i went to sevice centre they say motherboard is dead it will cost 10k to replace it i mean WTF? i never had any physical damange to phone i kept it with care and still an issue like this?

Nothing to confuse if u like go for it if not leave it every mobile has some negative side. So it's on our vision to compromise few and enjoy a lot.

I have read some user opinion that HTC 820 dual keep giving problems and walking to service center every day that to too much problem after one year etc. My honest opinion I'm the user of this mobile for past one and half years till now I haven't faced any major problem like mobile lagging, battery drain, camera issue etc. Standard usage( net surfing, music,videos,normal games , screen mirroring, Wi-Fi) battery gives around one day If play HD games then we expect 5-6hour's and get heat, camera is good can't say awesome but it's good
Music is great . No issues in network 4g,3g,2g.but service in service center is average.overall HTC is good product.

Very bad Mobile compare to other ,, Because after one year i am daily walking to service center.
My suggestion is DO NOT BUY A HTC Branded mobile . It is very worst branded company and New mobile also getting problems.like Camara not work, hanging continuesly, sudden switch off, And one repairing cost of mobile is also very high.
