Anonymous, 30 Mar 2015Samsung A5 is best...... 4g setAlso A5 is not completely a dual sim device.... The sim 2 slot is optional for either a sim or a memory card.... So pratically if we need to use 2 sims and a micro sd card it cannot be done with this device.... Whereas 820q doesnt have this problem... It has a seperate slot for both the sims and a memory card... But also there are issues with the 820q... 1st is its poor build quality and

Just tap on the back portion of the device.... Upwards there is a weird noise like the chips are being hitted... But down there is nothing like that, the sound is normal... I'm now very much annoyed with this device... Thinking about a possible way for refund....

I wouldn't buy this even if I had enough funds.. for the price, you atleast expect IPS display, 2gb ram and NFC.

Hi Guys.. I would like to share my struggle with you guys as i would not want anyone of you to under go it..! Actually I bought a HTC 820Q on 24.1.2015 which was perfect in all angles and working great with zero issues. However, accidentally I happen to use the built-in flash light in complete dark for 5 minutes and I notices something weird which I had never noticed till then. I happen to see some stretches on the outer border frame (Milkway Grey frame)being translucent allowing the flashlight rays to pass through them. Especially at the corners and some places on the thin outer frame the light was glowing, which if actually seen without the flashlight seems to be just perfect without any defect. So when I approached the authorized Service center, the guys over there promptly accepted that it was a manufacturing defect of the frame moulding and mine was the first of such complaint received. Obviously, since its a defect that is not visible or detectable prima facie, I guess none would have noticed it.

It di not end here. After a lot of struggle and draining out my time running about the dealer, I was provided with a brand new box piece replacement of the same HTC 820Q (Milkway grey). To my wonder, that mobile too had the same issue when I checked in a dark room with the flash light on. It too had a frame moulding manufacturing defect. Finally the HTC guys promptly accepted that it was again a case of manufacturing defect and issued me a DOA for a replacement. However with a lot of struggle convincing them that I am not ready for this game again and again, I received the refund just today after two moths of mental agony caused by HTC and the mobile dealer !

So guys, please test your mobiles under completely dark lighting conditions with the built in flashlight on for 5 mins and check if your mobile too is defective if you can see the thin outer frame around the mobile glowing in the dark either in corners or in bits and pieces on the frame.
