To say htc desire 820q just takes too much time to switch between apps just because it dosent have enough RAM free... Secondly just check the grand max's 13mp camera... You'll get your answer.... Heating is not terrible as compared to the desire 820 but still it is not good..

htc 820 have btr front cam 8mp..btr chipset snapdragon 615..btr processor octacore 1.5 ghz then galaxy e7..those who say 820 heatup they r wrong as my friend is using it and have no heating issue at all..battry is alomost same fr both as htc 820 li-po 2600 mah battery almost equals to 3000 mah li-ion e7 battery... htc 820 double clr design is also very attractibe..blue border on white ..so y should i go fo samsung e7 ..?? need ur valuable ans in details..thnz in advance

Heating problem is serious when you are charging your device and cinnecting

It's normal to any device..

Review of HTC desire 820q after using it for about 2 months
I had bought this mobile over my galaxy grand 2 on 13feb, the day I bought it, it was pretty much good. There were no as such lagging issues... Than due to my xams my testing was stopped for about a month... I just used to use it formally.... I felt satisfied because it didnt use to show any type of lagginess ( with my formal use) and was smooth going...
I streched up the battery to about 3 complete days keeping it only on power saving mode... But after the xams when I continued my testing... Than came the true face of this phone...
Within 15 days I became so much fed up of this phone that I am going to sell it within 3 days... Even if you open the fb app (default loaded) it would open it with a much delay of 8-10 sec during which the screen would just remain blank... This would happen with whatsapp messenger and sometimes with chrome also...
Camera review:
Front:
The front camera was a 8mp shooter, but performs very poorly.... The photos are not sharp and can be easily be compared with any 4mp camera... The pictures are sometimes over saturated with the camera.... You need to manually adjust the exposure some of the times... The only good thing observed that It had a wide angle lens....
Back camera:
The back camera is a bit opposite to the front camera... The images used to be sometimes very dull with the back camera... The pictures when captured looked good but when zoomed in they had very cheap quality.... Also it would take a lot of time to focus on a subject and if the subject was too close and you wanted the blurr effect in the background than this would really dissappoint you... If you focus on the subject the subject would get blurred if it was too close...
Call quality:
I didnt have any problems as such with the call quality of this phone, the call quality was pretty decent.
Touch sensitivity and screen
Though its touch is decent but when compared to that on grand 2 it was sometimes if I had to click on a small thing than I would have to click on that several times to get it selected...
The screen brightness is very good and can be easily seen even in direct sunlight...
Boomsound speakers
Best pair of speakers ever seen.... Its sound management was awesome and loud enough..
Heating
The phone used to heat up while playing games or simply browsing the net on 3g.... And if it was connected with a charger than it would reach about 40C+... Like if you were playing a game and suddenly you get a call, than it was quite uncomfortable to keep it on the ear...
Build quality
I hated the build quality... Its made up of glossy material and would just slip off my hand many times... Even if you tap the region above the htc logo it would give some sort of noise like the chips are being hit.... Also if you fire the flash there is a noticable holes and the holes get lighten up.... Also the flash was weak to my liking...
RAM
The most suffered problem by me.... I had switched from a grand 2 so anyways the RAM was less ( grand 2 had 1.5gb of ram and about 600mb was always free)... This phone has by default only 250mb of RAM available... Which caused much problems in multitasking.... Swapping between apps was very time taking because due to low memory the app would partially close and due to this it took time to start....
Finally would like to conclude... Htc missed some efforts for making this phone perfect... If Htc would have customised the software better and would have given 1.5gb RAM with this phone than it would just beat any phone...

Jahan, 09 Apr 2015pls tell me which phone is better ? htc 820 or 820qBoth are bad... 820 has a lot of heating issues and 820q has lots of software bugs like lagginess (sometimes)...
Desire 820 is like a iron which heats upto 50C while playing games or just a bit of browsing on 3g...
Whereas 820q heats up a lot on the screen... Suppose you are playing a game and you get a call, the device's screen heats so much that its quite uncomfortable to hold it on the ear.... The front camera is a wide angle one but the quality of both the cameras are very poor.... The colours on the camera also are very poor, sometimes they get very much saturated and sometimes too much pale...
I suggest you to think about galaxy S4, if it is in stock in your region than go for it... I am too selling my htc desire 820q
