For the love of God, please do not buy this phone...poor audio, battery life, touch screen issues and heating like an oven...a complete rip off from you HTC guys...

I am 100℅ sure that you must be having a duplicate model don't worry this happenes just check on Google typing that HTC software downloads click the the official HTC link and then select there columns with right informations you will be shown to download the software of htc 826 marshmallow download it and just flash your ROM with recovery mode or via your PC or you can keep checking the software update in settings -about -software information - check for updates .
If then also you are continued with the problem then contact on 18002663566 this in the number of HTC coustmer care they will surely help you with your concern.
And remember never try to use your device for more than an hour by doing that your device motherboard may be catch a dead short .
Well you can use your device for small purpose like browsing net ,fb,whatsapp or voice calling even you can watch videos even of full hd 1080 into 1920 for 3 hrs but you must not play games for a longer period of time.

...thanks for the comments, ive just cancelled my plans and i wont buy the HTC desire 826 anymore, too bad, i was really looking forward to it but the negative reviews just did it for me, better safe than sorry!

Don't ever buy this problem. A number of problems are there,within 1 year I had software issues and now my touch is not working and its just been a year old.

Within 3 month heating problem hang battery drain faster charging problem and as u cross one yr motherboard prob.
This phone has all the problems u wants

i have htc desire 826 duel sim.
Mobile battery is getting discharge in 4 hours. Apart mobile is vibrating every after 15 second . ..
Replacing battery is ok...
What about stoping viabration...?
Need guideance...

Please it is humble request do not buy HTC 826
It is very pathetic mobile I ever seen.
Not good phone waste of money
Over 1 year my mobile was dead and mother board not working
Service center gave me mobile and told me for changing mother board it will cost Rs.18000

This is the worst Mobile set with a good brand name, however soon the brand name is going to be doomed. its NOT worth a try, request dont buy it and if buying it keep an additional phone handy so that u are not without a set when it goes for repairs every 6 months. its a personal experience.....
