Because the A7 is a lot more powerful than the desire eye also has a slightly bigger battery as well as the latest gorilla glass. Other than that they are similar and it would come up to personal choice.

plz users of desire eye answer me is this phone waterproof and do you shot with it at the swimming pool? cuz the htc company says that it is not and what is your opinion about it's performance? hope some one answer me

DO NOT UPDATE TO LOLLIPOP!
I just did, and now all I get is a message that HTC Sense has stopped working. I cannot use the phone anymore. I'm sure it has worked for some, but there is no guarantee that it will not essentially brick your phone. you have been warned!

Dearest friends.As I mentioned,HTC is very successful in midrange range!With the hearsay of coming upgrade,we can count this smartphone as a upper good quality smartphone though a little pricey!!If had more place,,I would put this Desired Eye in my wishlist bank!!!I congratulate gsmArena.com birthdays and more success for HTC's progress!!!I confess that I like to have this good smartphone Eye but...!!!Good luck for those whom have this HTC's endeavour!!Justice Rights is in constructive criticism!

Battery backup is average. The main problem is low light photos become noisy otherwise its a fantastic phone.
