2) reduce screen brightness
3) try to use wifi instead of mobile data
4) turn off wifi & bluetooth when not in use

Which better htc m8 or htc desire... moreHTC M8 is better than Desire eye.
Desire eye has maybe better inside camera, but that's it.
M8 is better in battery life, speakers...etc etc
But this doesn't mean that Desire eye is not good.
Both are really very good smartphones.
I am using Desire eye, my wife M8. We are both more than satisfied.

HTC Desire Eye is an awesome phone but battery life is below average. A perfect 5.2" Size and both cameras producing decent photos. Using this phone for the past 5 months so far no issues. But battery life is a real disappointment. Any solution to increase the battery life....?

AnonD-399031, 24 May 2015can't find the crop me in feature also..i didn't use a sim ... moreyour HTC camera apps should be updated. check google play. it was not included in the camera apps out of the box. it just appeared when the apps was updates OTA. once you'll have it you will enjoy using "crop-me-in". goodluck!

Only the front facing cam is good. Battery drains very fast. I can almost see it draining before my eyes. I think to increase battery life you have to disable notifications of some apps as they keep running in the background but it won't make much of a difference.

Perform factory data reset. Back up data before proceeding. If the same issue still persist, send it back to point of sales. Depending on the customization of the device **the phone needs to be repaired back to it's country of origin, HTC supports international warranty provided that you are under warranty period (12months manufacturer warranty), the phone is without physical damage and physical damage. Handling or shipping fee is not included on the warranty.

I bought the htc desire eye. Very cool phone Its red, but here's the problem, I got the international unlocked model. I live in the united states. I have a net10 gsm sim card for unlocked phones. This phone with the net10 Sim has TERRIBLE service. I don't even get H+ when my other phones get 4g LTE in my area. HTC phone is stuck in E for edge (very slow) .. I have factory restored it many times. Still have terrible reception. --please help me someone I love this phone to much to ignore it because of weak service at my home/area

You should seriously stop writing so many SAME posts.
This makes people not want to help you.
Anyway, if you have the suspect that your phone is fake, call the local HTC Customer Care and ask them what to do.
Generally with just only the IMEI number they can tell if it is fake or not.
Although you must get used to this of the Camera not being as advertised.
The Xperia Z1 and Z1 Compact were MUCH worse than advertised.
The pictures which they show on their website are fake. Not made with the phone.
This is advertising, get used, get smarter than them.
About the rest I have no idea.
I will get mine tomorrow.
But if you think it may depend from not having used a SIM, than just USE a sim and try yourself.

Hey guys. I bout HTC desire eye . Weeks ago.. I updated to lollipop before downloading anything and reset to da Tory settings .. it's work Great. But I have a problem with incoming calls.. sometimes the background is black with the picture of the caller and I just have to touch for answering or decling.. and some other times the background is my wallpaper with the picture of the calle.
