It's pretty easy and no problem have encountered on my Desire S till now post update. Refer my earlier comments..

I just want to know whether
1)OTA update will be released by HTC later ?
2)if Yes, what's the differenec between OTA and RUU ?
3) AFter updating through RUU, can I make OTA update once its made available by HTC ?

waseem, 04 Sep 2012what is procedure after download ruu from HTC dev. I m from indiaPost download 404 mb file from HTCDev
1) Ensure you have HTC Sync installed on your PC
2) Connect your phone to the PC through USB cable
3) Wait till it detects your phone
4) Extract file which you have downloaded
5) It will consist 1 executable file and Instruction file in PDF. Read the instruction for details
6) Double click on the executable file
Thats it...Rest will be done by PC and phone.
Enjoy 4.0.4 ICS on your Desire S...

Hi All. Updated to ICS yesterday through RUU. Phone is running excelently and smoothly. Only one problem that it is not running java. Can anybody tell me how to update to java?. Thanks
