just 3 week back i have brought htc desire u... from the 1st day it self phone was having restart & hang problem... i thought may it will be software issue ...so i have taken my htc desire u , in gurgaon htc centre ,1 week back, but know when i contacted them,,, the says main service centre of htc which is in delhi...they saying the phone is damage,,,and the 7000 rupee is the charge.. i give them phone with no damage...know they have damage it.. for their on negligence they are charging me....please help....

I bought a polar white htc desire u 2 weeks back, from Kolkata. Suddenly, it got dead on the 14th day. But I got a replacement in 2 days. Unfortunately they could give me the white one since none of those had that free 8GB MMC package. So I agreed to take the black one. I hope it doesn't dies again.

I bought HTC desire U - dual sim 2 month's back from Nagpur(Maharashtra). The experience which I got is quite biased because after using it for 20 days my handset was working brilliantly with no problems, in fact it was too good with some great specs. I never got any problem with camera quality or any restarting problem or any problem with the battery backup. But it was a deep silence before the disaster, suddenly on 21st day it got dead. I tried everything in my hand to reboot but it never happened. Next day I took it to HTC service centre in Bengaluru(Karnataka), they gave me a DOA certificate and told me that this handset has a manufacturing default and you need to replace your cell phone from where you have purchased just within 6days. They also told me that in India they don't have any coordination with retailers so they cant replace my cell right away instead of having all India cell phone warranty which covers everything, I suppose. Somehow I was able to replace my cell from the past month I'm still waiting to get my replaced handset. Others who bought cell phones from different places, many of them were not able to get replaced their handset back. Because of the company's disrupted supply chain I suffered and also many others who came for replacing their handset.
If I have to recommend I won't recommend HTC cell phones because of their worst customer service but the products are good, very good in higher range and most of them do not possess many problems. If you have higher budget guys go for HTC but for lower budget I do not recommend you to go for HTC.
This is a question for HTC people that if they say that they don't have coordination with retailers in India and they can't replace their own handset by themselves then How can they sell their HTC handsets in Indian market without having their coordination with retailers??

Horrible company ,horrible service ,horrible hand set HTC dezire U.Got dead in just 1 month by its ownself.
given to service centre no response from them past 1 month it will take more time is the staement coming from them.Plaese dont go for any set in HTC.Pathetic company,they are completely fake with thier parts and acessories.

Bought HTC desire U a month back. Me too facing restart issue once in two days....
Nay fix availbale for this issue? will this issue fix with the latest software update?..

guys update your desire u with latest update by HTC .the battery backup and restart prob has been resolved. and phone is running lag free update and enjoy the desire as a charm in your hand.
