I bought a set last week and just realized it does not come with a compass. I sent it to the repair center and they checked with the distributor in Jakarta and discovered that the HTC Desire V sold in Indonesia do not have compass.
I am a geologist. I need a compass on my mobile to work.
Now I can only play game on it.

Case cannot be properly sealed/closed and easily scratched. Sim 2 always has no reception signal. Slip off your hand easily hold tight. Never bring to closet.
Conclusion: Don't Buy.
Just another look good useless help from Headache To Consumer.

I hav recently buyed dis phone.......it works awsumeee.............n its battery ..as compared 2 other android is much better.......loved dis phone......n most excellent ...feature is dat d phone comes with beats audio........juzzz superb

This model apparently has lots of software issues. Let them resolve first. Don't buy.

Never buy this phone. This compass is not working. I send the phone back to service center for non-working compass and they returned me after one working with a worn-out mother board and a dent on the metal piece at the front.
Ｉ tested the phone and still the compass is not working.
Why is HTC treating consumer like a fool?
I want a full refund. Waiting for their respond if there is ever one.

Bough Desire V 3 weeks back.
My ringtone volume is on 30%. I call someone or someone calls me. As soon as I come out of the call, my ringtone volume is set at 100%.
1. I am not touching the volume bar by accident
2. And also the option - Increase volume when in Pocket/Bag is in disabled state.
I have no idea why it is doing it! It happens after every call. Any help appreciated, thankyou.
