VJT , 26 Nov 2012Htc desire x or Samsung G S 3 mini?Well.. If u can but galaxy 3 mini, as it is more costlier, than i wud surely recomend s3 mini. It is better than desire x leaving its design. I mean i peronaly dont like s3 and s3 mini's design thats the only yhing where they lack behind rest all perfect. So galaxy s3 mini vs desire x... Surely s3 mini is the better of them.

Actuly this is a query for any users. The concept behind this is that it has a storage of 4gb initialy but when the manufacturer puts the firmware of android in it ther some space is covered, besides; graphical enhansements, htc sense 4, widgets, etra inbuilt apps as well has GPU and chip set drivers also take up a lot of memory. Desire x has 1.5 gb of user available as far as my knowledge but i wud say it is a good phone and a tough fight for s duos.

All I can say is I am a complete noob to th smart phone game but th UI, touchsense, apps, audio, browser, camera, wallpapers heck! everythng bout this phone feels so intuitive, so fluid, I feel like I've owned this for years!. Now I read a lot of peoples complaints who are comin across as desperate, thinkin this phone is suppose to rival an iPhone, or a Samsung galaxy wats it-ma-do-hicky.. no! Bad people!, this phone is mid range so of course it wont out gun any of those phones. What ur payin for is a phone that will deliver on style, size, and enuff power to get u thru 1.5 to 2 days of actual phoning and txtng capabilities strait outta the box, which is more than I can say about some of the mor expensive phones. My friends r so stupid they trade up everytime a new model comes out and the 1st thing the moan about is the bat life. I use my desire x just as much as they use their phones during the day n I still have enuf juice to listen to mp3's on the way home

is HD gaming and video playback good on this phone? Havent seen a review about 3d/hd gaming on htc desire x. i dont mind the 720p issues on recording cos i dont really do stuff like that. I just want to play and watch movies, i cant decide between this and Xperia Sola. can htc desire x play 720p video? thanks for the reply

For 720p video one v but for everything else desire x
I have been using this phone from the past month and found it is better than I expected..my friend has a one v...the camera on one v and dx are the same but dx lacking 720p video recording....dx comes with sense version 4.1 lite (no lock screen animations like weather, contacts, photos etc which isn't available on one v either)
The UI is very smooth...no lag at all while switching between apps, home screen etc...but found occasional lag while browsing with HTC browser which isn't that noticeable....
The screen is very crispy and produce natural colours (no gorilla glass) and sound quality is impressive as gsmarena mentioned....with beats audio turned on its simply awesome....
Battery life is good...1.5 days backup with moderate usage...
Plays shadowgun, temple run, riptide gp etc very well...no problem at all...
Built quality is not up to the HTC standards (back cover) but looks pretty nice..overall it gives a premium finish...
The other options for a mid range devices are galaxy s advance (old s2 like fashioned, planned to discontinue), xperia p (horrible battery life) and one v (single core only and no JB update)
Excludng 720p video playback and recording dx is second to none....

bought it 10days back every thing is fine but wat can v do with out battery backup...
worst battery backup than samsung ace plus my previous phone
