What is the difference between two models of HTC Explorer?
1st one has dotted back cover like in the pictures at gsmarena. please, follow the link for seeing what I mean by saying dotted back cover:

2nd one has classic, smooth back cover, which seems more elegant I think. For example, please, follow the link and see what I mean by saying smooth back

could you please identify the difference? which type is better in terms of durability and internal features?
I think they have different hard&softwares. Am I right? May be they are products of different years?
Right now, both type of black back covered HTC explorers are on sale in different phone markets. Some have dotted (1st one), others have smooth (2nd) back cover. I would like to know which one to prefer and why.
Are there any differences in terms of quality and performance?

I have been using this phone for the past 6 months, Its nice phone and so far I have not faced any problems so far. The worst and irritating part is the micro phone connector. You just cannot hear if you plug the ear phone completely but has to be half inserted, so when in pocket it gets disconnected to often. Hope the they rectify it

Hai guys i have used htc explorer for 1 year.its a decent entry level phone.perfect for beginners in android.no headset in box.internal memory is very very low,so cant install many apps,if u do so phone gets very slow,lags.only 600 mz processor .camera good.no flash for price,no updates totally ignored by htc.i recommend u go for sony or huawei.huawei y300 is as brilliant phone for rs 7400.

gk101, 07 Nov 2013I'm using this fone for 2 yrs and it is very satisfactory i... moreyes..i m also using this for 1.5 years & using these apps..really a good mobile..even i have rooted & installed different custom roms many times, but my little candybar smartphone didnt disappointed me....

Hi ...
I rooted the mobile and installed Android 4.1. Now the phone is fast and more memory available......But the apps from google like Play,Maps,Navigation,Youtube,etc are not working.....Even youtube is not opening in Opera....
Please tell me if there is a way to use the apps....
