Hey, i am thinking to take this mobile..How is the overall performance...Camera,Sound, Battery etc..
Is it the right option under 10K or shall i go for Galaxy Y...

And for missing gorilla glass or the fingerprints on screen.. Can fingerprints or scratches be avoided using screen laminators? Are good quality laminators available in the market?

So it seems that you'l be using internet occasionally right? so you need not worry about the battery..it will stay awake for a long time..

comparing to wildfire s...
explorer has better performance..
Camera with auto focus,led flash and gorilla glass display makes wildfire s to stay ahead..
If you are more concerned about the camera, go for wildfire s...
wildfire s is a good choice for 12000-15000 range..
explorer is a good choice under 11000 range..

I won't be using 3g at all.. rarely using GPS or GPRS.. will prefer to connect to internet using wifi occassionally.. and will be exploring all android features(this will be my first android phone)..hey is this fone capable of handling games such as angry birds, asphalt, motoracer or fuit ninja?

Just had one more question regarding the camera.. as mentioned in the specs the camera is a fixed focus camera.. how much detail does it miss out in comparison to a 3mp camera with autofocus? Coz I wouldn't want to go for a phone that lacks even basic details with pics taken from the camera.. another alternative seems to be the Wildfire S(5MP autofocus with flash).. but I've heard that its processor is too slow as compared to that of the explorer, and also no flash support for browser.. so what do u suggest?

and now use ur ph... moreperformance is great as such what we would expect from a 600mhz processor.
camera is average..lack of led flash is a big disadvantage.
sound quality is ok..loud enough through speakers..
through headphones--it will blow your ears off !!!

pravakar, 17 Jan 2012best phone I ever had its awesome go for it u'll not regret... moreturn off mobile network,packet data,data roaming,gps,bluetooth when you are not using...
lower the brightness to half or lower than that..you'l get an impressive battery backup..
i charged my mobile day before yesterday morning and i was using the mobile moderately..still the battery didn't drain fully..;)

1.yeah headphones are provided.
2.camera is not bad (7/10).
3.your finger prints are visible after you touch the
screen..many phones have unclosed usb ports which is not a big disadvantage.
4.all applications cannot be moved to sd card.(common in androids with low internal storage)
5.ya volume keys are comfortable.
6.gps is good.
7.battery backup is impressive if you turn off network and other datas when its not in use.
(if you are a medium user,just post the timings of each functions you do with the phone..which would be helpful to predict the battery)
if you ask me a suggestion,I would say just go for this cute little android

When i received a call, my tone volume so sudden turn to slow volume..i didn't touch my phone when it happen..sometimes okay but sometimes it happen..anybody can help?

Hey guys. I'm from India n planning to buy this phone pretty soon, but I want to clear a few doubts before purchasing:
1. Are headphones provided with this phone or not?
2. Is the camera quality good for a 3MP camera?
3. Is there any disadvantage of gorilla glass not being present, and also if the USB port left uncovered has any disadvantage?
4. Can new applications be installed in the memory card?
5. Is the volume rocker comfortable to use?
6. GPS quality?
7. Battery backup with medium usage.. will it last for 2 days?

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2012which one is better explorer or galaxy ace?????Dude go for this phone its awesome.....first i was going to buy galaxy y.....when i went to the store that time i checked galaxy y n was shocked to see such poor graphics....then i saw galaxy ACE...it had a very bad battery life and bad graphics....then the shopkeeper showed me this phone and it was awesome....best in its class as compared to samsung sony LG.......it is the best fone.....even my friend had purchase galaxy ace n it used to hang n give poor battery backup and so he sold it and purchased HTC explorer same as mine

I like the phone but what a disappointment when using the camera there is no flash. It also has a mind of its own and like my young children does not do as its told lol
