It is not upgreadable to ICS or JB and it will stay on existing software which is 3.2 (Honeycombe)

Yes you can make gsm phone calls with it!! as i successfully did it with mine.

Hi All,
I have mange to enable phone fuctions in this tablet, follow bellow instructions:
NOTE: Device has to be ROOTED!!!
Using root explorer or your favorite text editor edit the "build.prop" file under "/system/build.prop" and edit the following lines:

ro.ril.reject.cs.ss.enabled=0
ro.ril.reject.mo.ussd.enabled=0
ro.phone.function=1To enable Bt Headset profile change the following:
Code:
ro.bt.profiles = 4270403
service.brcm.bt.ag_supported = 1
Save your changes and reboot your device. Look under the programs menu you will see the phone app you will now be able to make and receive calls.

tablet has no gsm functionality clue is in the title here. no phone. no calls. just video calls via skype app i think.
