I was looking forward to getting a SE X10 and suddenly saw this one. By specs it is superior to X10. Do you all agree? Please keep in mind I`m choosing between T-mobile 3G 1700 Mhz phones. Another consideration was Nokia N900. Thank you.

This is a phone similar to how Apple iPhone went from iPhone 3G to iPhone 3GS. The main different you will find from other Android phone is basically SPEED. This phone is super fast and responsive. If you own a Android and looking for speed this is the phone to get. Other major upgrade is the OS it self, large LED display (help type easier on the visual keyboard), noise cancellation, bigger storage 512mb and double the ram 512mb. This this all means to every one, those of you crying out there why Android apps don't look at good or why video dont look at good as iPhone is about to change. With the new 3D graphic core there is no difference from the iPhone 3GS but I say better. Multi tasking is much smoother. Running apps in background dont slow the phone much. You will still see little big when i launch about 24 apps in background. This phone is going to amp up the Android Market with nice visual design apps with more functions that will harness the awesome power this phone has with in.

Den10, 07 Jan 2010Sounds like a slightly updated version of the Hero. Can't u... moreReason Google selling it, to kill the entire contracts from carriers. You have an option to buy it unlock unlike Apple only way to buy iPhone you have to sign up 2 year. 2nd thing I believe, this way Google them self will have power to push OTA updates instead of waiting on carrier or manufactures to do it (like Cliq, G1, Mytouch, Hero, Eris, dont forget Galaxy sadly no update from them) Unlike the iPhone update is provided to all the phones. I am assume they will do updates as they come alone or i am hoping so.

Sounds like a slightly updated version of the Hero. Can't understand all the attention it's getting. Other than google selling this directly, what's the hype all about? It's just another addition to the wonderful HTC/Android family

Sounds like a good enough phone, i'm not knocking it at all, but it's not a big enough leap for me to trade it in for my Hero... especially with the 2.1 update coming "soon"

shame about the lack of multi-touch on this device, but that's no biggie for a lot of people

The only thing that stops me from buying this phone is that I dont know how good the Audio quality is when compared to the iPhone. When we compare it with iphone we always forget that iPhone is also a great music player.

IKE, 07 Jan 2010Looks Google have a bad start in the US: http://consumer... moresorry to disagree but, as i understand it, the Nexus One is a world phone, meaning that Europe, Australia, South America :D and the rest of the world (minus Japan) can use it flawlessly... BUT it will NOT work on a CDMA network (Verizon), and the US doesn't have the same frequency standards that the rest of the world does (3g), that only leaves T-mobile there, which is GSM and uses the European frequencies.
The only problem that i see with this phone is that, for now, it is sold only in the US.
