If you use Juice Defender you can set how often your phone connects to the internet, so you will reduce internet data usage and save battery life also.

Google nexus one is such a good phone.my only problem on this i am continously charge by my internet service provider due to automatic update of weather and news.i did disabled the function but still keep on updating.any know settings in order to stop updating.
