Phone speaker wakes me up if it was louder it would annoy me everytime.there are other things to do than looking at your phone in a brightly lit area.

I've used the N1 for a few months. It's a beautiful device with an outstanding screen. But, it is troubling at times as well. The screen is best at 100% brightness but you pay a heavy price in battery life. Speaking of battery life, it is really suffering at the moment. Likely, it is due to a widget from the market but I'm not certain which one. I turned it on at 9 in the morning and by noon it was down to 55%. I rarely use the phone though it is a clear caller but I generally end up using the apps and internet.
The worst thing about the phone is by far the speaker. Why on earth Google allowed such a tinny, crackling piece of rubbish be put in their flagship phone is a mystery. I'm ashamed to let the phone ring and would never even think of playing music through the speaker. It's that bad.
The touchscreen issues have been well documented and are legitimate. I have become accustomed to having to tap things two or three times and hitting the "back" button at the very top left rather than in the center. But it can be maddening as well.
I love the the phone and would never consider going to an iPhone (I do own an iPad though) because of it's rigidity. Android is the way to go with plenty of free apps and full customization.
Hopefully Google will put out another native Android phone under their label sooner or later. I would hate to think that this is a one off phone.

Generally good,some experienced problems like:
>Overheat when charging and using at the same time leads to restart/jamming
>high power consumption comparing to i-phone.
>if grabbed by one hand you will loose some touch sensitivity.
Power points:
>GPS and Compass are so strong, even indoor GPS working.
>Emailing is so good.
>Connectivity (WLAN and BT) are very good.

Streamed Netflix from phone to lappie then to TV. No hiccups. Super impressed. I advise keeping the lower part of phone free of interference
