Stay away from the Nexus One, its a very bad phone. 3G signal pretty spotty, Googles answer to it is "if you get bad reception try changing your LOCATION!!" also you will get better reception if you use your phone upside down.... This phone is battery hungry... it starts tasks even if you kill them, they just keep cming up. Whenever I'm locking the phone i have to kill the tasks running cause Googles concept of multitasking is having all apps running and draining power.
            Contact are annoying to search.
            Camera is pretty lousy.
Alarm is pretty low, so is ring and speakerphone.
Overall a bad phone.... I bought it cause I didnt want to fall under Steve Jobs comunist regimen, but now I regret my decision. I dont know if all HTC are as bad as the Nexus One, but sure the support is crappy, consider your support hours of reading through Googles forums, cause there is not even a decent website dedicated to ALL the common problems all N1 users are having

blonD, 25 May 2010is android flexible like symbian, or does it have limitatio... moreandroid is very flexible... you can customize it in many different ways - from simple skin (home/launcher/icon) replacements to rooting/mod'ing (is there such a word?)...

btw, i just manually upgraded my N1 to Froyo last night and i'm very happy with it... it's noticeably faster than Eclair.

the upgrade was quite easy to do considering that it was my first time doing it...

also, something that surprised me is that the Facebook notification will actually make the trackball glow blue!!! this could mean apps can already change the color of the trackball (without rooting)!

froyo is amazingly speed but the battery life is just too less, you need to have a spare battery the display condumes around 70% of the battery life, otherwise a great phone

The benifit of nexus is that you can straight way go and download the V2.2 and install, but for others (HTC, samsung, motorola etc) as they have there own UI on top of the OS you have to wait till they come up with the compartible ROM. And that mean more painful delay. This is where Apple scores. And WM will also benifit as they will not allow the hardware companies to mess up with OS.

Froyo 2.2 OTA is only a hoax no ota update yet all over the world. Google should roll out the update the soonest time possible.
