HELP, 07 Jan 2011if i buy something from ANDROID MARKET on phone , how can i... moreI'm almost sure when to buy something on Android Market you had to login to the market with a Google account. That account would keep information about every thing you paid for, so you don't have to buy again.

The phone has a ROM built into it. That ROM is a type of memory.
The ROM in this phone is split into 3 partitions. Part is used to store the software image of your phone (known as a ROMs and is used ever time you do a factory reset). Part is used as “program memory” (that is where your SWAP file is made for all running programs.) and the last part is used as Storage. Every time you or a program saves a file to internal memory that is where it goes. Every time you install a program and you did not pick install to SD, that is where it goes.
The free storage space of your physical ROM is what I want to know.
The importance of this is…..
It is possible for a computer to have 4GHz CPU and still not be fast. The reason for this is, a computer is only as fast and stable as its weakest component, not its strongest component. For the HD2 that weakest component is its small ROM that is only 512mb in size and is split into 3 petitions. The rule of tomb for any windows OS is a minimum of 10% storage must be left free at all times to allow proper running of the OS. When you have less than 10% free, you start to have system fails/malfunctions/lag.
You have no control of the image size or the swap file size on windows mobile, so it is only the storage space you can control. By keep 10% free on that will cut down on unexplained problems & lag. 10% of 512mb is 51.2mb so that is the minimum free space you should have on internal storage. To see what yours is reading go to. Settings>SD card & phone storage> and under device, tell me how much free storage memory you have.

It stays juz 9 hrs for me at max.
Can find slight improvement if u do sme settings like, keep auto update of mails n weather OFF. n also other location services.
Updating ROM to latest will also help a bit as it is cpu energy efficint.

Turning off 3G by switching to 2G GSM is the major one.
But don’t expect any phone that has as many wireless radios as this, a huge touch screen that need power to work. And a multitasking OS. To have an impressive battery life and still be thin.
I’ll go on to the other tweaks about 6:00pm -4GMT in the mean time get the XT Hack Beta2 from Omarket.
One more question how much free space do you have on your internal storage space? (not program space)

Disappointing to see that there's nothing from HTC at CES. I was expecting sth revolutionary product from them but in vain. On the top of that……..there is almost nothing for windows7………everything after android. No matter wat ….android is still immature & unpolished for me. But this time CES is all about tabloid …..it's hard to find mfger that do not put tabloid in CES. No body cared tabloid until Apple launched Ipad.
Just got my Ipad few days ago………its freaking awesome eventhough its just an iphone on big screen. Don't buy Android pad…….its damn buggy & slow as hell. Even Google said….android is not designed for tabloid. Ipad is sth between phone & computer………and it does its job and great for travelling.
