list of things you need to get on your PC.
1. ActiveSync (if you have a XP PC) or WMDC (if you have a Vista/7 PC)
2. 7zip 64bit or 32bit depending on what version OS you have on your PC.
3. 3.14.405.2 ROM from the HTC UK site.
4. 3.14.403.2 ROM from the HTC Danmark site (if that is not the ROM on your phone already.)
5. SSPL for the HD2 (not HSPL)
note: to download 3.14.405.2 use this SN HT9AZNW00968
if you need to download 3.14.405.2 use the SN under the battery on your phone.
I'll like to know what OS you are running on your PC and what is your FULL ROM # on your phone?
if you need links to download the rest of thinks let me know.
I'm waiting on you now to go on to the next step.

You obviously don't know what you are doing. Go get an *phone4, an Android, or a WP7.

Being good at using something and know how it works, so you avoid problems is not the same think.
The torchlight app is a free download. There is Garmin XT for GPS on this phone.
Never install programs on the limited internal memory when you have a large SD card to install programs on. Only thing you should install on internal memory are drivers. That is the big mistake you made that cause most of the crashing “LACK OF FREE SPACE FOR THE OS TO MAKE SWAP FILE.” ROMs
ROMs can be upgraded. And if you have not done that is yet, that’s only your fault.
Newest ROM is 3.14.XXX.X
If you want to give your phone another chance. I can help you to make it RUN smooth.
Give a list of the things you need to do on the phone so I will see if I can recommend some software.
If not….. and your post was just for you to vent and you don’t want to fix anything. “O” well, it’s your loss not mine. I’m happy with my HD2.

I’ll help you when I get home. Unlike what others may think. I help because I like to, not because I do this for a living.

If this is the ROM on your phone please confirm. This information is important to the hack you have to do.

Just a warning to potential buyers, and a quick feedback on my personnal experience.
HTC HD2 is a very disapointing phone. I am a very good computer user, but I should say I found it very difficult to get more interesting and good apps, as it was delivered only with a handful of very limited apps. As an example, there was simply no torchlight app and no GPS app (apart from the very limited compass and the Googlemaps which requires you to be online).
When you want to install programs, it's rather hard as the internal memory is very little and almost entirely used by windows mobile already!
The quality of the 5mp camera is really very low, and works best only in the very bright conditions. The pictures taken with the flash are really baaaaad (overlighted or very blurry, never even).
The loudspeaker is also a piece of nightmare! Altough it is supposed to be a high-end phone the quality is veeeery bad and the sound saturates as you increase the volume, from the middle upward.
Finally, I think the phone has some problems with the ROM (or whatever might be) as the phone is rebooting sometimes unexpectedly, as you are in the middle of a conversation, listening to musique, etc.
In my opinion this phone really does not worth is positive comments and/or is strictly reserved for an elite of programmers (and even them would rather skip for an other model soon, I think), alternatively it would be nice for the teenagers who can satisfy themselves with facebook and twitter apps, if that's all they have to do with a phone... but in my opinion for a real business phone it is far from being neither good nor reliable. For sure, I regret my purchase a lot!
In my opinion, only one recommendation: TO BE AVOIDED!

hi everyone! will this phone be able to run ms reader? i have a lot of .lit ebooks and one of the reasons i'm considering buying this phone is because of it's potential to be a decent ebook reader. i love MS Reader i used it on my laptop all the time. it will be cool to have this phone if it can run ms reader also. what do you guys think?

One of the reasons I would prefer the NexusHD2 NAND rom to the Stock Desire NAND (for now) is the ROOT access capability. Without the root access, you can't run apps like Titanium Backup.
There are concerns about reducing the available internal space since apps are now stored in the NAND as against the SD Card.
Try installing the Titanium Backup and backup your user apps first. Then run "MOVE USER APP TO THE SD CARD" from Titanium Backup. Note the available internal space before this movement and recheck available internal space after the movement.

Your sync program was made for window mobile.
Now you have to go to the “wizard of OZ” at the HTC web site and download and install the sync program for a HTC Desire.
Note: no software you had for windows mobile will work in Android. It’s a different OS
So now you have to get new software made for it. Including a file explorer and task manager.
