For Android fanatics: Install OZDroid ROM. This rom is windows based especially designed to run Android on HD2. So, its not perfect for normal use of windows……very small rom(taken out most of windows stuffs).
I tried Android(nexus one) on my hd2 last week. My experience was so so. I just do not like the feel of Android and wifi also did not work. Do not allow me to sync with outlook. I will stick with good old windows.

Hi all,
Some I will be getting my HTC phone. I have narrowed it down to two phones with this being one of them. I would advice anybody getting this phone or those who have this to install Android 2.2 Froyo on it. That will remove the remove the average Windows OS meaniing you can get a lot more applications including games from Android.
Don't worry Android works perfectly on this handset with no limitations at all. Check youtube and you will see numerous people have done this and it is very straightforward to do.
Should I get this phone, I will do so immediately unless I get a refurbished or second hand one with Android already installed on it. If I get the HTC Desire, Android is already install on all Desires so I wont need to install anything unless I want to further update my Android to a newer version in the future.
Regarding the issue of the battery life, this is a simple thing to sort out. Just google search htc HD2 extended battery. This will bring up two types of extended batteries. The 2300 mah which is twice as strong as the one which comes with the phone or the even stronger 2600 mah battery. These two batteries will mean instead of charging twice or once daily, you charge once every two or three days with decent usage. This is great for gaming, watching movies, web browsing and when you are travelling the whole day.
The batteries are fairly cheap but are a little bulkly so a small bulge will appear on the back of your phone but research and you will see. Examples are on youtube aswell as the google search. If you buy the battery, come on and tell us how it went, where you bought it from, the exact battery you bought and how heavily you use your phone. Thanks

I just brought an HD2 from London to Bangladesh. Only 2 days passed and suddenly my phone shuts down automatically while talking over phone!!! what the hell! Can't start it again now. It keeps restarting over n over again if I put it for charging. Does Bangladeshi weather has anything to do with it?
I'm helpless here...can any1 help me please and tell me what to do??

Excellent phone. Thanks to xda developers I can dual boot and now run andriod on this phone as well.

hi antony.. it is already arabic rom on my hd2 and the internet explorer and opera mopile support arabic site.. but the latest opera mini 5.1 not supporting arabic language...

ahmed, 10 Sep 2010hi Antony .. please tell me how to make arabic language sup... moreyou have to install arabic support for the OS, for it to show in the brower. Some HD2 ROMs can get it from there htc web site, the rest of people have to look for it on XDA or use google.
remember your looking for arabic support for your ROM and not the web browser.
