This phone is awful - DO NOT purchase it.
I had an iPhone 3GS before I purchased this phone. The iPhone was so much better, I'm even thinking about selling the HTC and buying another iPhone.
I bought the HTC through Telstra. The main reason I purchased the phone was due to the big screen. And yes, the screen is big, but in day to day use there is no noticeable difference in the screen size compared to iPhone which was very disappointing. Most features on the HTC are copied from iPhone, and Microsoft have done a horrible job at copying.
- Scrolling is not smooth
- The music player is bearable but has massive lag
- Web browsing is not smooth and annoying/ I also found it a lot slower than iPhone
- Text messaging is horrible - Although has a nice interface. The messaging is threaded, but the application muddles all the messages up and really just isn't intuitive
- Bad battery life
- Extremely bad Facebook application
- Barley any apps available in the market
- Emailing is slow and unintuitive
- Weather integration is nice but doesn't work properly with location
- Typing on the onscreen keyboard is absolutely terrible compared to iPhone
- Photo app is nice - But doesn't use the accelerometer which is a disappointment
- Camera is very nice - But not very good quality images
Overall this phone is a fail. I would not recommend it to anybody looking for a fast and functional phone. iPhone beats this phone to a pulp.

1. ... moreMost of your problems related to software. Which version of ROM ...are you using? You need to update to the latest or use cooked rom.
Regarding heating issue....it does get little hot (during charging & when doing heavy work)...but not to point you burn your finger.I think its normal in any phone.
Battery life is good. You can get 1 day of heavy use & 2 days for light use.
May be your phone has defective hardware. Contact htc and get another one.

Is there anyway to get rid of annoying carrier's "sent message notification"?? I've tried lots of registry tweaks plus cabs……..nth seem to be working. Every sms I sent I get this notification. Anybody has this problem? During early days of owning….i did not have this problems. Suddenly past a couple of months I am getting this message in stock as well as in cooked rom.

major problems: the worst invention so far by htc
1. the phone heats up in my bag for no reason without being plugged in the wall.
2. it freezes to the point that you cannot push any button at all.
3. sometimes my minutes keep running after i've completed a call and
4. i cannot end my calls by pushing the end button.
5. i cannot make a call by pushing the green phone button. it does not move.
6. sometimes out of nowhere, i will realize that many tasks are running without me pressing the task buttons.
7. the phone goes blank with a dark screen and there are lights under the keys below and yet you cannot make a call or turn on the phone or off
8. the worst is that the battery life for this phone is so low that it can only last you for about two hours a day.

They're waiting on a part to come in to fix the phone (who knows when that will be)....... I want buy an iphone.... Don't like the iphone (I need a phone with more power and that I can cust).... Will look at what phones that will come from Samsung, Sony, and others.... I can tell you that I will not be buying another HTC phone......

Going on 3 weeks now and still no HD2 from HTC repair center (no call or anything)... They haven't started to repair it yet... Last word I got was they was waiting for a part to come in... Don't know what part it is???
I'm really pissed at this point...... I think this will probably be my first and last HTC phone..... They have a horrible cust srevice and repair center in the US.... The only reason I purchased an HTC device is the fact it is easy to customize thanks to Xda and others.....

I instal multilingual option on my HD2 now want to remove it I followed all instruction which in manual but I fail to remove. I make many time hard reset and remove option from setting but no way...
