I got this phone a few days ago and i have to say its the best phone i have ever used.i have had an iphone for the last year and a half but decided to get rid of it as to many people now have iphones and its not cool anymore when "nokia retards" now have iphones.
yes it takes a while to get use 2 and with tweaks it changes it for the better

when you love a particular phone then rate the voting very low to 1,then if everyone does the same,the price of the phone will be reduced by the manufacturer,then it can be bought in an affordable price

I had this phone for while and sold it cuz I had Iphone too.. but its completely different then Iphone. Loved the camera of this phone, brilliant picture.. and the screen was huge, I suggest people who are planning to buy it do so, and spend some time on it.. its worth buying it :)

First and foremost thanks so much for your time spent answering my query. u asked me of where i got the ROM. Actually, i forgot the site where i downloaded it. All i can remember is "ROM for GCC/Egypt" but anyhow am not going to use that ROM. What i need is the site for the ROM that you recommend and how(steps)to upgrade my old buggy ROM. Again here's the software specification of my Unit.

What I do for the alarm is the following:
It has 3 separate alarm settings,I reset>
first: 6:1 AM
second:6:2 AM
third: 6:3 AM
now if you do not wake on on those perpetual 3xRings you shouldnt blame the phone for that!!!

I own it for some months now, and I'm satisfied with it. IMHO, best device to-date.
I just, still, have problems with bluetooth audio, worse than what I had with old HD.
I really wonder why now if it is not my car device with some incompatibility. Unfortunately, I have no other mobile to test.
I've tried contact with HTC, which simply and lazely responded "we have no reports about problems with bluetooth", despite all coments I read on internet.
After all, for all I read, it looks impossible to be fully satisfied with a mobile, even though I'm sure manufactures know what to do. Why they don't, can't say. Keep market rooling?

rahil, 02 May 2010 Hello, When I set Alarm it only beeps twice and stops.... moreSorry the alarm only rings twice. What you have to do is put a very long “.wav” file in the windows folder it will show up in the list of files you can use for the alarm song. Then you can use that as your alarm tone.

This phone uses Opera Mobile which renders the web page to look more like it would on a PC. Why don’t you want to use that? Just installing mini still will not give you Arabic support. The problem is the phone does not have the font. You have to install it.
And I can’t help you with that.
Anyway, here is the link to opera mini & mobile they are both .cab files that have to be installed on the phone, so don’t try to uncompress them. Just download copy to the phone and install.

Don’t forget I really want to know why you want to use “mini” over “mobile”.

I bought this phone a week ago I took my time to play with it for about 3 days ,after using an Iphone for almost 3 years,which now has gone to my wife.
For me the WM was a completely new experiance,however after doing a bit of tweaking,thanks in part to Anthony and the XDA-developers I think this is one of the best or the best device ever.I suggest that whoever buy this phone to give himself a couple of days playing around with it ,research the web do some tweaking,Hard reset couple of times if nesessery(if you keep your applicatiobs on the storage card it wont take more than half an hour to re-install back everything).
My special thanks goes to Anthony,Íve been following this forum for a while,and he was the one who inspired me making the right choice.

Gabor, 02 May 2010I am just planning to buy that HD2, but i heard problems ab... moreit is worth every cent if not more. but by the question you are asking maybe you should get an iPhone 2G or a basic phone without an OS. no point spending money to get features you don't know what to do with them and just would not use.
